Exhibits center on valuable materials such as personal belongings and original drawings of Tagawa Suiho, a manga artist connected to Fukagawa. There is also an art space where you can freely read manga, starting with "Norakuro," including Tagawa Suiho's works, classics, and much-talked-about titles. The art space also has a display corner introducing Ito Shinsui and Sekine Shoji.

Nice and quiet place to read and learn about the famous cartoonist. Limited English translations but whatever is there is very nice. No photos allowed inside.

It's a free facility, but I think it's plenty for enjoying Norakuro. There's also a library with tons of manga, so if you love manga I think you can enjoy yourself for hours.

I got the Norakuro manhole card at the Tabata Writers' Village Memorial Museum and that's how I learned about the Tagawa Suiho Memorial Museum. The space wasn't large, but the exhibits were wonderful.

Koto City Morishita Cultural Center In kindergarten, my lunchbox was Kyojin no Hoshi, my napkin was Norakuro, and my water bottle was Dokachin In elementary school, a super-rich kid like Gian had the complete hardcover Norakuro set, and I'd often go over to look at it, which got me interested in old-style kanji, so my feelings for Norakuro are surprisingly strong. It's at a free-admission level, but it should be made grander; Tagawa Suiho deserves more attention. The free magazine handout was a bit of a surprising perk The souvenirs should be made easier to buy The manga reading room is awesome. Next time I'll bring my reading glasses and read some Umezu Kazuo

This is a special corner for Norakuro, the manga by Tagawa Suiho-sensei serialized from before the war into the postwar years. Admission is free, but photographing the exhibits is prohibited As a kid, I remember spending all my allowance on the deluxe hardcover reprint edition It's the story of Norakuro, a black stray dog, who joins the Fierce Dog Regiment and rises through the ranks, and I read it with such excitement There aren't that many exhibits, so I think you can see it all in about 20 minutes Hearing that Hasegawa Machiko-sensei, the creator of Sazae-san, was his apprentice, and that he was drawing story manga even before the god of manga, Tezuka Osamu-sensei, really warms my heart
