すきやばし次郎 豊洲店Sukiyabashi Jirou Toyosu
8–10 minutes on foot from Toyosu Station, our shop is on the ground floor of Building 1 of the Toyosu 4-chome Danchi. As a noren-wake branch of "Sukiyabashi Jiro," which has its main shop in Ginza, we are rooting the spirit of Edomae sushi in the town of Toyosu. A limited number of nigiri at lunch, and carefully crafted sushi at the counter in the evening. We strive to let guests visiting as tourists from Japan and abroad relax and enjoy their time with sushi.

I finally visited Sukiyabashi Jiro's Toyosu branch, a place I'd long wanted to try. Anticipating a line, I arrived a little before opening time, but I was the very first customer. (Monday, 11:10 AM) The interior is clean and has the nostalgic charm of an old-fashioned neighborhood sushi shop. I'm sure this place has been a beloved local sushi spot in this area for many years. It wasn't the kind of high-end, meticulously crafted sushi I had imagined. The sushi featured sticky, fluffy rice and easily bite-sized pieces of fish. I exchanged a few casual words with the owner, and managed to chat with the wife? who brought out the soup and simmered dish. The sushi came out at a relatively quick pace, and I finished eating in no time. The toppings were pre-cut for lunch service, but the horse mackerel and conger eel showed careful preparation. After eating, I felt a bit unsatisfied, so I asked, "Could I order another lunch portion?" The owner smiled and said, "That'd be a big help!" in a cheerful mood, and happily made another portion for me. After paying, the owner's wife said, "Please come again," which made me feel happy.
View on GoogleThis place is awesome. Lunch set ¥1600 and is enough to fill you up. All the food is fresh and the quality is the best I have experienced. I would suggest come around 1130 because after that it will get crowded. The sushi is carefully put together and the staff are nice. Highly recommended. If you are after bargain food look elsewhere. But if you like to have something special I would recommend.
View on GoogleMy wife and I arrived at 11:15am on a Thursday and were able to get the last two open seats at the nine person counter without waiting. (Within five minutes after we arrived there were eight people waiting.) We were eager to try the omakase menu for 1,700 yen since we cannot afford to go to the original Sukiyabashi Jiro in Ginza. The meal consisted of an appetizer, soup, 10 pieces of sushi and two hand rolls. A nice value at a good price. I’m not a sushi expert and don’t pretend to be but the sushi here beats any of the conveyor belt sushi places I’ve been to at approximately the same cost. The service was very quick, in and out in less than thirty minutes. The sushi chef kind of pushes you to adjust to his pace so don’t go here if you are want to have a long deep conversation with your date.
View on GoogleWe had Dinner there. 大將 is very friendly to foreigner. Nigiri is very tasty with high C/P value.
View on GoogleI prefer a lunch with a sense of speed. Sukiyabashi Jiro is one of Japan's most famous sushi restaurants. A branch of the restaurant is located in a housing complex in Toyosu. The main restaurant is terribly expensive, and it is difficult to get a reservation. However, at the Toyosu branch, you can enjoy lunch for only 1,700 yen.
