Indoor theme park featuring moving miniature attractions of space center, airport, Evangelion, more.

Is one of Asia's largest miniature museums, with a total area of 7,000 square meters, established in Ariake in June 2020. It features the "Space Center" area, where you can watch Saturn V rocket and Space Shuttle launches; the "Kansai International Airport" area, with passenger planes coming and going; and areas for "Evangelion" and "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon," popular both in Japan and abroad, letting you enjoy elaborately recreated miniatures. As an indoor facility unaffected by weather that offers non-verbal content, it is often used by groups from educational institutions and international tourists.

Small Worlds Tokyo is impressive not only because of its incredibly detailed miniature displays, but also because you can truly appreciate the craftsmanship behind them. Every character, building, vehicle, and tiny prop has been carefully designed and built, making it a fascinating place to explore. The two exhibits that impressed me the most were the enormous airport and the Third New Tokyo City from EVA. Throughout the displays, you’ll find interactive buttons that trigger fun surprises—some will make you smile, while others create spectacular scenes that bring the miniature world to life. Children can even crawl through special openings to place themselves inside the miniature scenes, making the experience even more immersive and memorable. I highly recommend visiting Small Worlds if you’re in Tokyo. It’s an enjoyable attraction for visitors of all ages, especially families with children.

An absolute must-see during my 2-week trip to Japan ! As a French tourist visiting Japan, I knew I couldn't miss this incredible museum, and it definitely did not disappoint. 💸 Great Value for Money The entry fee is very reasonable around 3,300 yen (approx. €16), which is completely worth it for the quality of the experience. 🗺️ Breathtaking Displays & Themes The attention to detail in the miniatures is just sublime. The museum is divided into several fantastic themed areas, including : • Space (rocket launches) • The Village (with beautiful, intricate fantasy details) • The Airport (incredibly realistic with moving planes) • Evangelion (a dedicated section that anime fans will absolutely love !) 🔍 Pro-Tip: Look Closely ! Make sure to analyze the scenery very carefully. There are hidden letters scattered throughout the displays to help you fill out the questionnaire handed to you at the reception. Once you complete it, you get to draw a random little prize! It adds a really fun, interactive layer to the visit. An absolutely superb experience in a truly unique museum. If you are in Tokyo, don't hesitate to go ! A very happy French tourist! 🇫🇷

The museum is very impressive with crafts and decors meticulously finished. It is a must-visit if you are into miniature stuff. I hope my videos and pictures speak for themselves. You don’t have to buy ticket in advance. The museum is very spacious and you must get some snack at the cafeteria.

A fascinating place that’s easy to spend hours exploring. The newly added Shibuya area is incredibly detailed, from the famous Scramble Crossing to the streets around the station. Despite being miniature, it really feels like looking at a living city. My favorite section was still Kansai International Airport. Watching the planes move across the runway and seeing the scenery gradually change from day to night was surprisingly relaxing. There are so many small details to discover, and every visit feels a little different. A wonderful place for both kids and adults.

I would recommend going early if you want to visit this place. The stores/ experiences kind of closes around 6pm which makes the whole experience a bit of a disappointment. We went around 5:45pm and most of the experiences were closed by then. The admissions still costs the same even if you visit late so if you want to attend those hands on experiences, go early! The place is honestly smaller than I thought and not much of a wow to me.. the miniature are cute and includes some buttons for you to press and watch the different interactions. I think some are done in way greater details than others but overall it is pretty detailed oriented. The 2nd floor was mostly closed by the time we finished walking through the 3rd floor.. so we didn't get to see any of the 2nd floor. 2nd floor looked mostly like food places but idk. They have some photo spots for you to take some creative pictures but overall.. meh :((( wish they had more exhibits to walk thru but I think they are working on a city one that is likely to open in August of 2026. We did not purchase tickets in advance and there was no wait.
