I went there with a local "ojii-san" on a rainy day, and my first impression of Sakaeya, was the atmosphere in there, pretty much amazing, food and drinks were at good price and excellent taste too! Be aware that they only speak japanese, maybe chinese because the speciality of this restaurant is chinese style like japanese food. Also the menu is japanese handwritten, but if you gently ask for "osusume", you may have their recommended dish! Green peas are for free!

【Highlights】 ・Chinese izakaya ・Japanese-style izakaya 【Impressions】 A characterful, old-school Chinese restaurant in a historic-feeling area. There were so many menu options that I couldn't decide, but I chose チャーハン and 特製餃子. They were very delicious. When I visited in the evening, they were preparing drinking snacks. Everything looked incredibly tasty, so I'd like to try coming for drinks next time too.

カレーライス 900円 No fukujinzuke, so complimentary rakkyo Not on the menu? But they made it right then (haha) Impressive indeed, spicy beef curry It was delicious!🐸 I came because the ramen shop across the way said they didn't have curry The rakkyo is very thoroughly pickled I'll be back!🐸

Run energetically by 2 ladies who used to be young? There's a wide selection, from izakaya dishes to Chinese food. You can freely eat the dried snacks on the tables. Bottles are inexpensive, so all the regulars keep their bottles here. Recommended in all sorts of ways!
