That day, after a bit of casual cherry blossom viewing at a nearby park, I looked it up on Google Maps and decided to go! Arrived a little after the 11:30 opening. There were already a few people lined up outside. Waited about 15 minutes on the bench outside the shop. Finally got in. The interior: ・Mostly table seating ・A cozy little space but it's easy to go in even on your own. At night it apparently switches to an izakaya menu. This time I ordered the tantanmen. First of all, it looks great! The creamy soup really whets your appetite. The soup is spicy and creamy. It clings nicely to the thin noodles — delicious! The noodle portion is on the larger side. Filling and super satisfying! A bowl worth lining up for! It was delicious!

A Chinese restaurant with delicious food and drinks. A friend recommended it to me, and every dish is carefully prepared, delicious, and reasonably priced. You can enjoy Iwaki Kotobuki sake warmed, and for shochu, they have orange-flavored options—they carry quite a selection of specialty drinks. Apparently, my friend originally discovered it for its lunch ramen, and the salt ramen was truly excellent. The clientele seems to be mostly local regulars, each enjoying their favorite dishes. Watching them eat made everything look so delicious that I couldn't help but want to order the same things. It's definitely a place I want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Visited around 11:45 on a holiday. There were already several people in line. I bought a meal ticket first, waited a bit, and then went in. I ordered the shio (salt) ramen. The zha cai and kombu tsukudani are self-service. This delicious for 850円, with an egg included and a generous amount of noodles. Very satisfying, and I was also surprised at what great value it was.

I'd had my eye on this place since it was in Kayabacho, before it moved. It was featured on 町中華で飲ろぜ, so I made a pilgrimage. Visited around 12:55 on a Sunday at the end of December. It was full with 1 person waiting outside. Later the line grew to 4. First I bought a meal ticket and handed it to the staff, then borrowed the restroom🙇. I went back outside, waited about 10 minutes, and got in. Outside there's simple waiting seating made of boards laid over earthenware jars. Inside it's relatively cozy. Maybe about 16 seats max? There are tables for 2 and 4 (some of the 4-seat tables can be split into two 2-seat tables), and no counter seats. Lunch is noodles only. I was torn between tantanmen and miso ramen and went with the miso ramen. Since I'd used the restroom, I also added a bottled beer. They said you could add a small rice for 50 yen, so I ordered that too. The miso flavor of the miso ramen is close to the miso flavor of the tantanmen — it's very much "miso!" Really delicious. Goes great with rice too. It also stays piping hot, which is a big plus. The bottled beer is Akaboshi — they really know their stuff. I couldn't help telling the staff (the proprietress), "Thank you for stocking Akaboshi"☺️ Also, at lunch when I visited, zha cai and salad were complimentary and self-serve. That's a really nice touch. Looking at the night menu board, it seems they also serve craft beer in the evening. There's quite a variety, so evening drinking looks like it would be a lot of fun. There was also what seemed to be homemade umeshu. Apparently it's often full at night, so they say it's best to call before coming. Next time, if it's lunch I'll get the tantanmen, and if I can make it at night I want to really enjoy the drinks.
