2/6, after heavy snow in Tokyo, my flight was delayed. By the time I arrived in Japan on the first day of my business trip, it was already night. I just wanted a bowl of ramen near the hotel and unexpectedly found this ramen shop still open. Not understanding Japanese, I used google translate to order a soy sauce chashu ramen and a spicy salty cilantro ramen, based on the literal meanings. The soy sauce chashu ramen broth unexpectedly had the aroma of roasted scallions. The tender chashu was also very tasty without being greasy. The spicy salty cilantro ramen broth amazed me even more, with a rich peanut butter flavor. Both bowls had flavors and textures I had never experienced in Taiwan. For now, this is the one artisan ramen shop I consider the most delicious and unforgettable. If I have another chance to visit Tokyo for business or travel, I will definitely make a special trip back.

【Ramen and thick curry don't go together❗】 Visited with my son at 11:50. The 5 counter seats and the table (seating 4) were full. We waited outside but were soon shown to the counter. Customers kept coming without a break. You could see how popular it was. Ordered soy sauce ramen and 愛掛け丼. The bowls arrived in just under 10 minutes. The soup was completely covered with oil (something like vegetable oil), and piping hot. What was it? I could taste something like star anise. The soy sauce was a little sharp. The chashu was less substantial than it looked. Thin and fall-apart tender. The ginger pork and curry sauce on the 愛掛け丼 were both very delicious on their own, but the curry in particular didn't go with ramen! It felt like 10+10 didn't make 20, but dropped to around 15. Both were generously portioned and filled us up. They don't serve gyoza at lunchtime.

Ramen ぷん楽 in Kiba. Visited in the early afternoon. There was only one customer. Ordered meat-broth tsukemen and complimentary rice. Partway through, the older man who owns the shop went outside while talking on the phone. The woman finished preparing it and served it. The noodles were thick, and perhaps slightly overcooked or too soft. More soft and chewy than firm and springy. They were topped with shredded nori, but eating it, I felt it didn't go with the broth and Chinese-style noodles. The meat broth was quite strong, and the pork was fatty, so it seemed to halve the deliciousness. I'll pass on the shredded nori. Rice with the dipping broth and pork was delicious. The noodles, dipped in the broth and then put on the rice, were delicious too. There was dipping broth left at the end, but they don't give you extra stock to dilute it. Tsukemen normally comes with extra stock, doesn't it? A shame. Thank you for the meal.

This is a favorite shop I visit again and again, even after moving far away. Every time I have the salt-butter ramen with radish sprouts and scallion toppings, but everything here is very delicious. The ramen's chashu is fall-apart tender, and the sesame-oil-scented radish sprouts go perfectly with the ramen, making it refreshing to eat despite its richness. The ginger pork and egg in the tsukemen pair wonderfully, the dried-sardine ramen is full of flavor with a gentle dried-sardine aroma, and the soy sauce ramen is also very delicious. Above all, the curry is truly delicious! I really want you to try it. A favorite shop that makes me want to return again and again, and never gets boring no matter how often I visit.
