I’d give it a 4.5 if I could. I had a few minutes before dinner and wanted a quick coffee and found this place. It’s a comfortable little cafe with coffee, food, and sweets. I went with a pour over which was done well. I also ordered the crème brûlée which was also good. The service was fast and friendly.
View on GoogleI absolutely adore music-themed coffee shops, as music and coffee are the perfect pair! Walking into this café, I was immediately charmed by the classic, elegant sound system at the counter playing smooth jazz. It created such a sophisticated and refined atmosphere. The vibe made every sip of my coffee feel like a luxurious experience. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great music with their coffee!

View on GoogleKiyosumi-Shirakawa, a Reiwa-era jazz kissa. A cafe run single-handedly by a female owner. Opened about 2 years ago. Calling it a cafe that plays music from vinyl records would suit the Kiyosumi-Shirakawa area better, but since I've loved jazz kissa since the Showa era, I'll call it that. I slipped in around 8:30 pm, right before closing. I finally made it, but at this timing. Ordered the curry and a hot chai. I couldn't take a photo of the menu, but the curry had ground meat, carrots, eggplant, and maitake mushrooms. A cafe curry with mild heat and gentle spices. I think the rice had a bit of black rice mixed in. The soup that came with it was a creamy tomato flavor. The piping hot chai came in a glass. The record playing when I came in was Charlie Parker with Strings. The volume is pretty loud. Next was Red Garland's Auf Wiedersehen. It was the last record of the day. The playlist is interesting, ranging from albums considered classics to niche ones. Oh, and non-jazz music plays too. Personally, it makes me want to know about the owner's background with jazz. I really wish I could have taken my time a bit more…
View on GoogleVisit date: around mid-January A slightly larger cafe with music playing from records. Almost no one was talking, mostly solo customers, so it was very quiet. (Apparently up to 3 people ※info from Instagram) Even when regulars talk to the owner, everyone speaks in whispers. A perfect place to spend a relaxed time. It's in a residential area and doesn't get much sunlight, but the windows are big so it doesn't feel small or cramped. The coffee is mild with no bitterness or acidity, very easy to drink. It's served slightly lukewarm. People who like strong, slightly bitter coffee like at old-fashioned kissaten may find it lacking. The sweets are also very delicious, and even coffee + two sweets comes to about 1,100 yen, very reasonable. A perfect cafe for days when you want to spend time peacefully.
