View on GoogleI loved the curry nanban soba so much I came to this shop 2 days in a row! By the way, besides me, there was one other group who came 2 days in a row too (lol) It was full this day as well, and I waited about 5 minutes for a seat to open up. Some people come just to eat soba, others use it for drinks with coworkers; it's a real mix. The owner was explaining recommended sake, and the place was very lively. Today, as always, I ordered the curry nanban soba (¥850). Curry nanban soba two days in a row, but it's one of my favorite foods, so I don't get tired of it at all! Plus, it's generous, piping hot and freshly made, and the soba is delicious too, so I'm hooked! My companion seems to be hooked too, and ordered the gyutama-don set (¥1,000)! The zaru soba was reliably delicious, and the gyutama-don was well soaked in dashi and tasty. #習志野庵 @東陽町 ◾️Type soba, udon ◾️Price ¥1,000〜¥2,000 ◾️Closed Sundays ◾️Hours 11:00〜21:30 (weekdays), 11:00〜14:00 (Sat) ◾️Tabelog 3.26 __________ My first visit to this shop, which came up when I was searching for a place to eat curry nanban soba. It's near Toyocho Station on the Tozai Line, but I never noticed it! If I'd noticed sooner, I'd have been a regular... When you step inside, it's the quintessential Showa atmosphere. Note that smoking is allowed. My first visit was on a weekday evening, and I was surprised it was full! Lots of customers, from solo diners to groups of 4 or 5, and with plenty of snacks and sake, you can drink and finish with soba; a popular spot in Toyocho that you could call a hidden gem for those in the know! ・Curry nanban (¥850) You can choose soba or udon, but I was dying to eat curry soba, so I ordered curry soba!! Shortly after ordering, piping-hot curry soba arrived, filled to the brim of the bowl. It had melty green onions, pork, and plenty of soba, and it was very delicious! The curry is thinned with soba broth, so it goes down smoothly. I love curry soba and have tried many kinds, but this was truly my kind of flavor! My companion ordered the katsudon set (¥1,000). It's a value set with zaru soba and a mini katsudon. The katsudon tasted like a proper soba-shop katsudon, with strong dashi, and was delicious♡ I want to come back again soon✨ #習志野庵 @東陽町 ◾️Type soba, udon ◾️Price ¥1,000〜¥2,000 ◾️Closed Sundays ◾️Hours 11:00〜21:30 (weekdays), 11:00〜14:00 (Sat) ◾️Tabelog 3.26
View on GoogleA "neighborhood soba shop" that makes you think, I wish there was one near me~. Whenever I visit Toyocho for work, I always have lunch here. Egg-drop in winter, chilled tanuki in summer, both large size. It's not a stylish place by any means, but it has that nice atmosphere only a neighborhood soba shop has.
View on Google『Soba set meal』750 yen It's at the intersection right outside Toyocho Station. The interior is Showa-retro, and it feels like a soba shop in a hot spring town. There are lots of menu items so it's hard to choose, but I went with the classic soba set meal Both the soba and rice are pretty generous, so it's very filling. There are several standing soba shops in this area, but few soba shops where you can sit down and eat at a leisurely pace, so I recommend it for anyone who wants to take their time.
View on GoogleOrdered the katsudon set with cold soba. 1000 yen The katsudon was on the sweet side, and the soba dipping sauce had a crisp flavor. The soba was delicious too✨ Happy that it comes with coffee☕😊 2024/04/18 Large mori soba 650 yen It was delicious✨
