Had udon with beef at Jikaseimen Kineya Toyosusentabiruten and also stole a few bites of my husband’s curry udon – everything was seriously so tasty. I’ve been craving proper udon for ages and was really looking forward to having it again now that we’re back in Japan. Also super affordable. Would definitely go again.
View on GoogleDelicious udon!! We had to ride the elevator down to B1 (or take the stairs). It’s right under a curry restaurant. No English sign out front. We ordered through QR code with multiple language options. We got one beef tendon set with konjac and one udon noodle set with chicken tempura. I’m not sure what sauce the tempura came with, but it was so good! Fairly priced. Would recommend and visit.
View on GoogleCurry udon and katsu Don set for less than ¥1000. Quite good, really enjoyed it.
View on GoogleVisited for lunch. Peak hours are 12:00-13:30, when it's packed mainly with SEs (system engineers) working in the Center Building. Each strand of udon is carefully made: delicious noodles with a rounded shape and dense texture. The broth is light yet has a gently unfolding umami, which is nice. Some rice-bowl and udon sets may be sold out if you visit after 13:00, as earlier customers have eaten them all. Recommended for people who like light Japanese food. I gave ★3 because the service, atmosphere, and casually rough calls from the kitchen felt rather brusque and a little off-putting. I arrived after 13:00, when the crowd had relatively thinned out, so it may have been a coincidence, but it bothered me a little for a somewhat expensive udon shop with a refined atmosphere.
View on GoogleVisited for lunch. You can add half a portion of udon for free. ※This time it's the regular portion. I appreciate that when you order curry udon, they bring water as well as tea.
