2025.10.12 Someone I had a work meeting with the other day introduced me to this place and recommended the stir-fried eggplant with miso, so I dropped by for today's breakfast!? lunch. I got to the shop at 13:03 and went in, and luckily was shown to an open 4-person table. Then, scrutinizing the menu! The storefront had a stir-fried eggplant with miso set meal, so I thought about getting the set, but I stuck to my original plan!! I ordered the stir-fried eggplant with miso à la carte for 1100円 (they checked with me, and apparently there's also a half portion for 880円) and the chuka-don for 850円♪ After 8 minutes, the chuka-don was served first. A bowl, soup, and pickles. The soup is a bit weak. The chuka-don is nice and loaded with ingredients: napa cabbage, wood ear mushroom, pork, carrot, bamboo shoots, squid, and shrimp. The only shame is there's no quail egg. Saving a bit of white rice for the stir-fried eggplant with miso, I dug in hungrily. It feels like your regular tasty neighborhood Chinese place. Two minutes after the chuka-don, the stir-fried eggplant with miso arrived! Huh!? This is stir-fried eggplant with miso!? Totally different from what I pictured... Isn't this mapo eggplant!? It's eggplant with a minced-meat sauce, a bit spicy... When someone says stir-fried eggplant with miso, I picture the one Matsuya is doing right now~. Well, as long as it's good, so I dove right in!! Tasty enough♪ Not as spicy or numbing as mapo eggplant, but there's no miso flavor. A weird dish, but it's good so whatever lol. The eggplant was piping hot. I thought eggplant with miso and rice would have been enough, but I do love chuka-don. Finished quickly, paid 1950円, and went home. Given the location, I probably won't be back, but thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleWeekend lunch visit. Fried rice on its own, gyoza, and a beer… First, the fried rice lands! A 3-piece set of the fried rice, soup, and zha cai! Zha cai, so grateful… The fried rice is moist and gently flavored, easy to keep scarfing down, and the soup has a ginger-scented soy sauce flavor, nice! The zha cai. It goes great, with beer♪ Before long, the gyoza arrive! Break one open and the juices gush out! What is this, xiaolongbao? The skin is bouncy and on the thick side, and every mouthful hits you with juices, skin, and the savoriness of the meat… Th-is-is!! Delicious!!! The interior has that classic machi-chuka (neighborhood Chinese joint) feel, really comfortable! The proprietress is friendly too, heartwarming… Worth the trip from the station! Go!! PayPay is accepted for payment. There's no parking, so either use the Mitsui Repark right next door (300円 per 30 min), or since there's a Docomo Bike Share port nearby, coming by bike works too. About 10~15 minutes on foot from the station.
View on GoogleThe gyoza are delicious! The balance of the sweet-and-spicy soup is great too! The "meat and cabbage noodles" and gyoza posted in an earlier review looked so good that I ordered exactly the same thing Meat and cabbage noodles 850円, gyoza 550円; looks like prices went up a little, but just barely There's also a lunch menu, and the meat and cabbage rice bowl set or the set meals seem popular, but the noodles too have an addictive sweet-and-spicy savoriness, and the meat, pre-seasoned with a good coating of potato starch, is a nice accent, so my chopsticks wouldn't stop! It was my first visit but I drank all the soup lol The gyoza were properly well-browned too! That's really important, isn't it Not only that, they're big and hearty, and juice comes flooding out when you bite in. Just like everyone says, they were really delicious! Then another day I ordered the meat and cabbage rice bowl set I'd been curious about... and it was a devilish bowl🤩 Basically it's a twice-cooked pork kind of thing, but it's insanely addictive, there's not enough rice, I wonder if you can get a large~ seriously devilishly good🤤 By the way, the mini ramen in the set can be switched to wonton, so you can put your total concentration into the meat and cabbage rice bowl lol
View on GoogleThe gyoza are delicious! At lunchtime, lots of people come over from the office district, even if it means a bit of a walk. Since April 2020, it's been non-smoking! But for some reason? from somewhere? cigarette smoke drifts in. From the kitchen? maybe? The ramen-type dishes might be hard to recommend.
