A homey izakaya-style diner where locals gather around the tables, with the appeal of letting you customize your meal. At first glance it looks like they'd have set meals, but the menu tags lined up along the wall are all individual dishes. And they're all cheap. A system that's great both for people using it as an izakaya and for people combining individual dishes into their own set meal. Around 7:30 p.m. it was full of what looked like regulars, everyone ordering whatever they liked, even grabbing beer from the fridge themselves... An atmosphere I really love. I still had work to do, so I just ate, but you can fit right in just eating without spoiling the vibe. A young person who came in after me was also having a custom set meal, and got some spinach ohitashi on the house with a "here, eat this." How nice. I ordered the spinach ohitashi the normal way. Besides that: yellowtail teriyaki, shijimi miso soup, braised beef offal, and a medium rice. All that came to about 1,400円, I think. If you choose carefully, you could probably keep it to around 1000円. The kind-looking owner in the kitchen has a really nice vibe.

This is what Japanese food is all about." A diner that makes you feel that. There are no set meals; it's a style where you pick your own side dishes, miso soup, and rice. That day two grannies were running the place. I went in a little after 12:30 on a weekday, and it was nearly full. It's really loved by the neighborhood~ If you're short on time, it's best to go earlier. I can't really recommend it to impatient people lol A little while after ordering, the plates arrive! A simple, unpretentious home-cooked taste you can savor slowly, with a somehow nostalgic flavor. The taste of meals I ate with my family as a kid. So comforting. And it really whets your appetite. Before I knew it, I'd eaten everything. I want to go again Thank you for the meal♡
