A casual drink🍺 Bottled beer×honeycomb tripe stir-fried in chili sauce×2 umeboshi sours×gomoku fried rice=🙌 The food at this neighborhood Chinese restaurant is delicious! The relaxed atmosphere is good too◯ Personally, I like the mapo ramen, but this time I deliberately ordered something new. The fried rice also comes with a small soup.
View on GoogleEnkatei, where I've had lunch many times. The other day I went for evening drinks & dinner for the first time. And what I only just realized… I should have been going during their evening hours much sooner! The reasonable prices are of course a plus, and on top of that the food is delicious and comes out fast! It seems like they run the kitchen and the floor with just one person each, yet they still handle everything properly, which is another great point. There are only table seats, so going alone for a quick drink and bite might make you feel a bit self-conscious depending on the situation… You can see how crowded it is from outside, so I'll definitely come again when it's quiet. There are quite a lot of menu items, but some have a "sold out" sticker on them. Even without a sticker, some items I ordered got "That's sold out.", so it might be best to have plenty of backup choices for what you want to eat. The ramen, which I forgot to photograph, had a remarkably gentle flavor you'd never guess from the color of the soup, and was perfect to finish the meal. I'll patiently wait for the day they can get menma in stock.
View on GoogleA place that makes a big impression with food that's cheap yet very hearty. I ordered horumon and stir-fried vegetables, and the horumon came piled high. Inside there are only tables, so it's more of a place for groups. They also have a flat-rate service for groups, so if you eat and drink a lot, it's worth considering that too. It was solidly delicious and I was satisfied.
View on GoogleFirst time in over ten years. Back then I went several times; the ramen or tantanmen + fried rice set was dirt cheap at 500 yen. I thought the shop's atmosphere and staff had changed, and it seems the owner has changed. Before, it was more about cheapness than taste, but this time the gomoku tanmen, with its thick, starchy-leaning soup and loads of toppings, was delicious and I was satisfied with the taste.
View on GoogleAbout a 5-minute walk from Sumiyoshi Station on the Hanzomon Line and Toei Shinjuku Line. I went around 1 o'clock at lunchtime; there weren't many customers, so I got a seat right away. The menu is so extensive it's hard to choose😅 I ordered happosai. Overall the flavor was gentle and felt low in salt. The almond tofu dessert also had a gentle flavor and was delicious.
