I had katsu curry (1,200円) while visiting an exhibition. Even allowing for it being a food court at an event venue, I felt the price didn't match the contents/taste. The salad was a one-bite portion. The curry was commercial ready-made curry with almost no ingredients, served with a frozen cutlet. What's more, when I chewed the cutlet, it had a slightly sour flavor, perhaps because time had passed since frying and the oil had oxidized.... In a way, it made sense that this was the only stall in the food court without a line of customers. Thank you for the meal.

This is my third time coming to HCR, but both previous visits were to the East Exhibition Hall, so this was my first visit to the South & West. There aren't many places to eat here, but it turns out there's a food court! The food court's stalls are lined up side by side, and there's this mysterious system where you pay at the ordering counter in front of the stall, then line up again at the pickup counter next to it. The queuing area is cramped and chaotic, and payment methods vary too: some stalls are cash-only, while others accept credit cards (⁠^⁠～⁠^⁠;⁠)⁠ゞ I wanted seafood, but the line at 魚とと was incredibly long, so I gave up… The steak line was the shortest, and I chose the curry shop, which had the second-shortest line. I feel like I eat curry every time I come to 東京ビッグサイト lol One person was handling both ordering and pickup, so things were hectic, and I had to wait at the ordering counter for a while before being asked for my order. Awkward… I went with the katsu curry for 1100円 (tax included). ※This place is cash-only. You'd think orders might come out in a different sequence depending on the menu item, but all the stalls somehow manage with this system. It comes topped with 2 small fillet cutlets. They weren't cold and had some bite, so they weren't as bad as I'd expected. The curry was the type that clearly tastes like retort-pouch curry, but it's curry, so it wasn't bad. It's European-style curry, quite sweet with a mild kick. Maybe convenience stores really are the best option at Big Sight lol

Curry that doesn't even deserve one star. Charging 1200円 for this is too much. They should learn from Coco壱番屋 lol

Regardless of the stall, most menu items are around 1200円, with drinks an extra 150円. Given the location, there's no denying it feels overpriced, but it's just barely acceptable—perhaps 1～2 tenths above market prices. The hamburger steak stall, which seemed better value, was the most popular, and the hearty chicken steak for 950円 looked especially tasty. After much indecision, I chose udon, but it wasn't quite enough.

Poor value for money, but the taste isn't bad. There's not much rice, but there's plenty of curry sauce.
