Very good restaurant, english friendly

I visited for the first time since it's a sushi restaurant in my neighborhood, but apparently it's closing at the end of June 2025. You can get 1.5 servings of nigiri for 1000 yen. All the sushi was very delicious. The ara-jiru was soul-warmingly good too. I'd never had them before, so out of curiosity I also ordered sea cucumber and raw jellyfish gunkan, and the textures were fun.

I had the 1.5-serving lunch nigiri. The kappa maki, shrimp, and the refined soup with fish bones (ara) were very delicious. At 1.5 servings, it felt like maybe a bit much. It's great to be able to eat a full belly of sushi for 1000 yen.

For lunch, you can eat a decent amount for just over a thousand yen. This time was my first evening visit. I had the 「上」 nigiri plus extra kohada and aji. It has a raw freshness you don't get at chain restaurants, and even the blue-backed fish don't taste fishy. I'll be coming back.

I had drinks at lunchtime on a weekday. There's a wide selection and whatever you eat, you can tell how fresh it is. The uni in particular was exquisite!! The seikogani was piled high too—a taste of happiness🦀
