Pros - Weekdays don’t require a reservation. - Large area for shooting. - Lots of rental props - You can change as much as you want within your allotted time. Cons - The staff aren’t friendly towards non-Japanese cosplayers. It doesn’t matter if you are fluent in Japanese or not. - You’ll want at least one person in your group to be fluent in Japanese. - It’s super far away. - It is not close to the train station you’ll want/need to use Google maps to find it. - There’s only one room that allows for video recordings and its extra basic.
View on GoogleBest cosplay studio. I love it.^___^
View on GoogleAn entire building that's a photo studio. Prices are reasonable, with lots of booths and you can shoot on the rooftop. Each booth is fairly spacious too. The train booth is a rare find. Male cosplayers can use it as long as there's a woman in the group. To move between floors you can use the elevator, not just the stairs. That said, the parent company was involved in a scandal in the past and some cosplayers still avoid it, so be careful when inviting people.
View on GoogleAfter using the studio, I left something behind and called to ask about it. On the phone I was told, "The cleaning crew has been in, and there's no report of any lost items." I told them specifically where (which room) I'd left it, but they didn't check and just answered "there isn't anything." Afterward, since you can't enter without a reservation, I booked a viewing, had the studio staff take me to the room, and found my item still there, so I was able to retrieve it safely. The studio staff member who helped me that day didn't seem aware of the situation but handled it politely. On the other hand, there was a discrepancy between the explanation on the phone (essentially that they couldn't check because the cleaning crew had been in) and the actual situation. I'm partly responsible for leaving something behind, but I felt uneasy about their system for checking and responding to inquiries. Also, I've heard the operating company has previously been in the news over its management approach in businesses other than the studio, so including this incident, I felt it's best to judge their management and customer handling carefully and as a whole.
View on GoogleIt's a reservation-required studio, but unless it's really crowded, booking after you arrive is fine. The waiting room is fairly large with sofas, so you can relax. Also, it seems you can order Domino's Pizza and eat it in the waiting room. The shooting booths are pretty high quality. The train-interior booth in particular is made of wood and plastic but looks like the real thing. The hallways are reasonably wide, there's an elevator, lots of (paid) props for rent, and prices aren't high, so I've used it many times. The downside is that it's booked out for private use except on weekends, and even on weekends it's sometimes booked out for events, and this isn't announced in advance on social media or the website, so there was a time when I tried to book on the day at the studio and couldn't use it.
