Visited on 29 November 2024 and ordered grilled salmon (about 700 yen) and made it into a meal with rice, soup and some pickles for 350 yen. The best part of my meal was the fried squid. It has to be one of the most tender squid I have ever tried. Salmon was abit salty but the squid made it a good meal for me. Hence the five star. 😂
View on GoogleA diner run directly by a butcher shop in Toyosu. As I recall, the butcher shop has been around since right after the war, and the diner "味処いちむら" since the 1980s. Across the road is the Toyosu branch of "セブン-イレブン日本第1号店" (Japan's first 7-Eleven store), which opened in 1974. In the 1980s, Toyosu had IHI factories on both sides of Harumi-dori and was a factory-centered town, but after the bubble era it changed dramatically. Nearby there's also a yakiniku restaurant called "深川壱番亭" and a place where you can enjoy wine called "肉とワインの隠れ家 209 ICHIMURA", both of which have long been operating in Toyosu. Now, "味処いちむら" has a meat-centered menu, but actually the sashimi is very good; since before Toyosu Market opened, you've been able to eat sashimi here so fresh and delicious you'd never think it came from a butcher shop. They probably source it from within Toyosu Market, but the sashimi that comes out is unbelievable for a butcher shop. I dropped by for the first time in a while, but unfortunately the sashimi set meal was sold out, so I had the ginger pork set meal. The meat was tender and outstanding! By the way, until before COVID you could order from the same menu at lunch as at dinner, but now that the shop has been rebuilt and renovated, the menu is limited.
View on GoogleIt's right by Toyosu Station, on the 1st floor of the building diagonally across from ビバホーム in Toyosu. We went at lunchtime, so the drinks were just water or tea, hence 3 stars. We got there around 13:00, but it was already full. Even after we sat down, customers kept coming in and lining up—that's how popular it is. I ordered the gyukatsu set meal with a large serving of rice. The rice was piled up like something out of a manga, so I happily dug in lol The gyukatsu sauce was delicious too and really went well with the rice. The person next to us was eating fried shrimp, and they were big, so next time I'll get the fried shrimp set meal!
View on GoogleAround 13:00 on a weekday, I dropped by during my work lunch break. More than half the tables were already filled, and it seemed like customers kept coming in nonstop! The menchi katsu set meal I ordered had a big menchi katsu that was just as juicy as it looked, with plenty of volume, and it was delicious both as is and with mayonnaise added😊
View on GoogleFirst visit with work buddies A mega-portion place? Set meals mostly just over 1,000 yen Sneaked a peek at other tables Minchi katsu set meal, decided instantly!!! The sauce tastes great♪ The batter is not the crunchy type but the soft type for my taste maybe a little crunchier would've been better?
