【Ojima・Hearty ramen】 A ramen shop I stopped by on the way back from golf practice 🏌️‍♀️. I visited because it had a high Tabelog rating ↗️ This time I ordered fish-stock shoyu ramen and a mini chashu rice bowl, 1000円. First, the soup 🍜 The soy sauce brings out the umami of the fish stock nicely, and it's delicious 😋 It's oily, but doesn't linger too much. 巌鉄ラーメン in Waseda was following this place, so I felt I had to visit at least once. The COVID precautions were rather minimal. The front of the shop says it's not a drinking establishment but a ramen shop, yet once seated, it still has a drinking-place feel. There's a daily limited menu called “Today's Honitsu,” and I think it would be a good place to combine with drinks if you lived nearby. The ramen is high quality, but perhaps because it's a one-person operation, some of the finer details lack polish. The Honitsu also seems hit-or-miss, so you're lucky if you get one that suits your taste.
