Tonkatsu Wako it is happy place to eat traditional japanese meals. Tasty. Good to visit with kids. Also menu “plus” is rice, cabbage ant tea - you can ask for free as much as you can eat. People here are friendly and kind. We had car (but even they dont know about) they noticed us that inner parking lot open on till 21.00 only, so we could leave our meal to (re)park our car and back to the dinner. They also noticed all clients about time for the “last order”. It is all details, but it is nice sign of care and hospitality. I had spring seasonal limited menu on my pic.

Really good little tonkatsu restaurant , same as the Wako take-out shop within the Komae OX store. Very convenient, tasty and worth it especially when combining the trip with a visit of either one of the adjacent Yamada Denki and Nitori.

Sirloin cutlet rice 1,630 yen I forgot to take a picture, but I had a very good impression of this shop. It feels like this is what a high-quality chain restaurant in Japan is like. In the past, there was a Kagome distribution factory (?) on this site, and I think it is one of the several restaurants that entered with Nitori on the former site. Tonkatsu has the delicious taste of meat and, of course, the lightness of the breading is characteristic. Nowadays, I think everyone uses good oil, but the crispiness and lightness of the breading is a point worth mentioning. The sauce is served on a small plate and you dip each piece. Personally, I like mustard, so it would have been nice if it was on the table. As the menu says "Rice", the quality of the rice was something you could enjoy on its own. It is served in a small pot for one person, and you scoop it into a bowl yourself (does this expression have regionality?). Above all, the deliciousness of the rice that lightly stuck to the inside of the pot was exquisite. It stuck to the extent that it didn't burn. The portion was decent, and elderly people were asking for plastic containers to take home. The miso soup contains shijimi clams. The shijimi are very small, so it's quite difficult to eat the clams themselves, but the taste was very deep. I ended up getting a refill. For cabbage, there are sesame dressing and yuzu dressing, so there is no trouble changing the taste along with the sauce. Cabbage, rice, and miso soup can be refilled. The staff's customer service was also very polite, and I felt once again that this is the sense of security of a Japanese restaurant. There was satisfaction that exceeded the price. It is truly "more than the price" even if the shop is different. In addition, the interior of the shop was clean and the seating arrangement was spacious. There was a kids' menu, so maybe it's good for those with children?
