This Japanese restaurant is a 2-minute walk from Kitami Station. You choose what you like from the large platters lined up on the counter, and the chef finishes the dishes for you. Although it’s a neighborhood place, newcomers are welcomed kindly too, making for a comfortable visit. Above all, the food is delicious. Each carefully finished dish had a flavor worthy of being called “exceptional.” In particular, if the pork kakuni and chawanmushi are on the counter, you absolutely must try them. The balance between the thick sauce and ingredients in the chawanmushi was wonderful, and the silky sauce couldn’t have been better. Then there’s the pork kakuni. I had never tasted pork with fat that softly melted away quite like this. Take home cooking to its highest level, and you get the flavors of なが田. A renowned restaurant Kitami can be proud of.
View on GoogleIt’s a good place There’s no menu, including for drinks There are 14 large platters of food lined up on the counter, and you order by saying, “This one, please” The dishes are mainly fish, and the 2 of us ordered 10 dishes They serve a little at a time, so you can order quite a few different things Everything has a lovely dashi flavor and is very delicious I’ll go again
View on GoogleI went with a friend for the first time The place had a very warm, homey atmosphere The owner does all the cooking alone, with 1 young man serving, and it feels like time flows slowly Everything we ate was delicious! Eggplant gratin, simmered fish, eggplant nibitashi? And so on The alcohol options are basically just beer, wine, sake, and sparkling sake, so keep that in mind It’s not that spacious, so I think it’s better to reserve I’d like to go again
