View on GoogleWeeds are growing out of the walls and roof; it feels like it's trying too hard to be quirky. It just looks like an abandoned house. The south and west sides are like a greenhouse, so it must be really hot in summer. It's the kind of ideology-first building common in the architecture world, all about looks, and it made me wonder whether it's actually practical. You'll see if you go, but it clearly sticks out from the surrounding landscape. In the end it's a matter of taste, but I think it's a good property for imagining daily life while looking at the real thing.

View on GoogleOn my way back from 🍁 hunting, walking along a road that still has the feel of old Musashino, I came across a charming house that looked like it had grown there naturally. I was thrilled to learn it was the famous Tanpopo House by Professor Terunobu Fujimori.
