The food takes an appallingly long time to arrive. It took a long time on my previous visit too, but this time was terrible. It finally arrived after about 1 hour. I think there was also a family who couldn't wait any longer and left. The food was neither good nor bad. I won't be returning. The only saving grace for smokers is that smoking, including regular cigarettes, is allowed at the tables. As others have posted, the service attitude is the absolute worst. Not a word about the late food.

Visited after 23 on Friday, April ３, 2026. The older woman bringing the yakitori lost her grip and spilled it all over the table. Then, without apologizing, she picked the yakitori up by hand, put it back on the plate, said "Here you go," and walked away as if nothing had happened. I don't think the food itself was that bad, but that incident accounts for my entire rating.

My favorite izakaya in 国分寺! The interior is spacious, and every snack is delicious. It really gets the drinks flowing, and I'm completely satisfied.

A little after 21時半 on a public holiday, my partner and I were looking for somewhere to have dinner at 西国分寺駅, and we decided to try this place I'd been curious about for a while. We ordered assorted yakitori, 豚タン塩焼き, タコの唐揚げ, madai sashimi, and 酢だこ. I usually drink beer, but I wasn't feeling well, so I asked whether they had nonalcoholic beer. They said yes, so I ordered that too. What surprised me when I opened the menu was that the fried dishes alone had nearly 56 variations. Breaded fried dishes, karaage, ravioli, stuffed chicken skin... and so on, an almost exhaustive lineup. The sashimi was just right for eating and pleasant on the palate. With an assorted skewer plate, I'd normally think that if there are 5 skewers, it's understandable if 1 isn't delicious, but that wasn't the case: the liver, thigh, head meat, skin, and heart all had good-quality meat and were cooked just right. Even more surprising was that the nonalcoholic beer came in a beer mug. Cold fizzy drinks really are delicious from a mug! I really appreciated that. Standard sour drinks such as lemon and lime are cheap at 300円. Just looking at the menu was fun. The landlady's service involves brief replies in a quiet voice, so I thought some customers might worry, "Did my order go through?", but she properly writes up the slip and the order does go through. I really liked her crisp communication that didn't interrupt our conversation. With this many dishes, preparation must be hard, but I hope the place continues to be loved by locals. I'll have things to do in 西国分寺 for a while, so next time I think I'll buy a bottle to keep there.
