This is insane. Way too insane. The spring limited menu that my favorite ramen shop in Kokubunji, Ninniku Daichi, started on March 1, 2026, "Haru no Oounabara Ramen" is crazy delicious. The soup is the basic soup with seafood umami added on top. Plus spring cabbage and sakura shrimp, so a flood of umami… comes rushing in >< And if you add the shungiku you can order as a topping little by little, the flavor changes again… and it works! There's fried garlic in it too, so the garlic punch hits just right—the best~ To finish, add in the risotto-style rice. It's topped with cheese and takanotsume chili, turning it into a shrimp risotto. This is irresistible. I'm hooked, and now I have the urge to eat it every day. lol They haven't announced how long it'll be available, so if you haven't tried it, definitely go. I super-duper recommend it.

I've been to Ninniku Daichi many times now. The chashu is fall-apart tender and there are lots of ways to change up the flavor. The Akafuji Ramen I had this time was also crazy delicious, and I want to go eat it again. A ramen shop run by a female owner is rare, and I felt it's easy to walk in even as a woman on her own!

When it comes to ramen in Kokubunji, it's "Ninniku Daichi"🧄 What I ordered: extra-extra back fat 3 garlic yugedoshi. It was so incredibly delicious I got four kaedama. You can add more soup too—totally satisfied.

I thought Ninniku Daichi sounded like a ramen shop guys would like, but when I went in with a friend, the staff were women, and there were table seats in the back too, with a lovely atmosphere. The ramen is just right if you don't add extra garlic, and when you want something hard-hitting you can add lots, so even coming as a family, everyone could enjoy it their own way. It's not too heavy, goes down smoothly but still satisfies, and was really delicious!

Order: Ninniku Energy Ramen 1600 yen, bottled beer 800 yen I love garlic, so I'd decided to end the night here. The deep-fried garlic is great. I'd even like to sprinkle salt on it and have it as a drinking snack. The ramen's flavor is quite light. Adding garlic and pepper made it just right. (This is purely my personal preference.) Overall, I wasn't so sure about it as an end-of-night ramen.
