While the restaurant is usually crowded, the seats are very confortable and can stay relax once you got there. The fried proc called Tonkatsu is really good here, and I suppose the best in town, though I came here only twice. The location is about 5 minutes walk from the station, directly north.

Perhaps the best Tonkatsu place in town or west of Tokyo.

I visited とんかつ ひらよし. This time I had hirekatsu. The meat was very tender and the coating crispy, and from the first bite I could tell it was made with care. The hirekatsu wasn't very greasy yet had plenty of flavor, and I enjoyed it right to the last bite. The interior had a calm, comfortable atmosphere, and it felt like an easy place to visit alone. The staff were polite too, making the meal pleasant. Another appealing point is that the whole restaurant, beyond just the food, conveys how much it values its customers. I'd recommend it both to tonkatsu lovers and to people who don't usually eat much tonkatsu. The balance of portion size and quality made for a very satisfying meal. I'd definitely like to visit again when I'm nearby. Thank you for the meal.
