Atmospheric old 'kissaten' coffee shop where your choices are 'blend' coffee or cafe au lait (but the gold blend is rich and good) and typical cakes like strawberry shortcake, chocolate tart, etc. (but they are good and big portions for Tokyo). Good for what it is and more relaxing than a Starbucks if you want to read a book rather than a computer screen. Smoking is allowed and is is considerably yellowed from years of smoke …

Who knew there was a coffee shop like this just a short walk from Kokubunji Station's north exit. Open the door and a warm space like an old European coffee shop unfolds. Wooden beams, indirect lighting, and classical music create a comfortable calm that instantly makes you forget the bustle outside the station. Smoking is allowed, so it won't suit anyone who can't stand the smell. The owner works solo, and you can experience the flavor of a long-established coffee shop founded about 38 years ago. The aroma of aged coffee carefully brewed through a cloth filter feels soothing to body and mind. My visit was a little while ago, so I forgot what I drank (sweat). But even people who dislike coffee's bitterness might come to enjoy it through this aroma( ˊ̱˂˃ˋ̱ ) The cakes apparently change daily, with options such as shortcake, Mont Blanc, and no-bake cheesecake. The interior feels as though time has stopped, and it's so comfortable you want to stay for hours. Smoking is allowed at every seat, so it's a welcome coffee shop for smokers. A place to enjoy both the nostalgia of a Showa-era kissaten and European elegance.

Shop features ・An old-fashioned kissaten where smoking is allowed ・Antique furniture, a dim interior, and the aromas of tobacco and coffee create a Showa-era space ・Coffee and sweets are reasonably priced at 500 yen Ordered items ☑︎Georges Blend ¥500 ▶︎Deep aroma and a substantial bitterness that pairs beautifully with cake◎ ☑︎No-bake cheesecake ¥500 ▶︎A beautiful cheesecake with soft tart pastry and smooth no-bake cheese filling. Low in acidity, with a dense, rich melt-in-the-mouth texture, yet light and easy to eat. ‍♀️Occasions Solo:◎ Dates, friends:◎ Families:△ Note:For those wanting carefully crafted coffee and sweets in a retro space __________ Thank you for reading to the end!
