We often come to those restaurant when I visit Japan. My aunty says the food quality has dropped recently. I ordered seafood steamed rice and upon noodles. They were not bad but not great. What she thinks of the food quality could be right.
View on GoogleAlong 旧五日市街道, with several locations in this area. As you'd expect from a family restaurant, the interior is spacious and fairly roomy, with plenty of seats. The system of looking at the menu and ordering on a tablet feels a little awkward to use. Staff can also take orders, which is good, but this may be an area to improve. The 赤のマーラー鍋うどん is a relatively new menu item, spicier than I expected, with a nicely balanced flavor and a generous portion. Since it's served in a pot, it stays piping hot to the end, which is nice. The prices are a little high for a family restaurant, but being able to enjoy a leisurely meal makes the overall satisfaction high. A reliable place that I think is especially convenient for groups.
View on GoogleI went on Saturday night. It wasn't busy, so we got in right away. There was a complimentary drink through JAL and others. There was a wide range of Japanese dishes, including tempura, sushi, and udon. The portion size differed a little between the menu and the actual food. The taste wasn't great.
View on GoogleWhen you think of 味の民芸, you think of handmade udon, right♪ I wanted some light udon, so I visited for dinner. From the seasonal menu titled Colors of Early Summer, I had「あなご天の煮浸しうどん」. Just like the menu photo, a big piece of anago tempura sat prominently on top, with sardine tempura, shirasu, grated daikon, and more alongside it. It's quite a generous portion, but light and easy to polish off—a dish I recommend♪ The photo included alongside it is the classic 鍋焼きうどん my companion ordered.
View on GoogleThis time the seasonal『北海道豚丼』made with 知床ポーク looked delicious, so I ordered it💮 Also『ロースかつ煮定食』. More than anything, I was looking forward to the セイロうどん here❕ It's a little different from my beloved 武蔵野うどん, with a soft, chewy texture that's delicious in its own way😋🎵 It reminded me how I used to come to 民芸 just to eat this😊 Then the 豚丼🍚 This was ridiculously good‼️ The 豚丼 I once had at an airport in 北海道 was delicious, but this time 民芸 wins💯 With the sweet-and-salty sauce and the accompanying grated yam poured over it, it was superb💮 Since it's seasonal, I'll definitely eat it again🎵 Thanks for the meal(^o^ゞ
