A soba shop in front of the rotary on the other side after crossing the railroad crossing from Shin-Koganei Station. It really feels like it's loved by local regulars. I ordered the katsudon and soba set. It comes out served in a tiered box. It was delicious. The portion is just about right, but I think if you get a large serving you'll be really full.

A soba shop bustling with regulars right after it opens at 10. People are already getting lively before noon with cold sake, bottles of shochu and such. The hot soba (especially tanuki) is also quite delicious. The mini gyudon also has a solid beef flavor and is tasty. There are lots of set menu options, the drinks are cheap too, great value for money.

I often have soba or the katsudon set, but on this day I had katsu curry. It's a classic curry like homemade curry, not the so-called "soba-shop curry," but I like this simple, rustic feel, so I was satisfied. The rice, not just with the curry, was on the soft side overall. Personally I like my rice firm.

According to the owner, it's been over 70 years since they started here in front of Shin-Koganei Station. It has a well-worn look while somehow carrying a homey feel. Seating is tables only, and there are small tables too, so I could come alone without feeling awkward. With soba and udon as the mainstays, the menu is wide-ranging, including Chinese-style noodles and set meals, and there are also à la carte dishes that seem good for a quick drink. Prices are reasonable for a town soba shop these days. I noticed it casually, but the soba is really long… I want to ask people who've been here too. Isn't the soba here super long?? 🤔 It was so long I thought this might be the first shop I'd seen like this, but if you liken life's guiding principle to soba, thin and long, it's hard to pull up but it's auspicious. Together with the tsuyu, I enjoyed it, impeccably delicious. Thank you for the meal.

末廣, a neighborhood soba shop right near Shin-Koganei Station. It's a soba shop, but it has ramen, fried rice, even set meals, with nearly 100 menu items, surprisingly extensive. Katsudon, soba and fresh vegetables 1080円 They cleverly use a three-tier delivery box, with katsudon, soba, and fresh vegetables each in their own tier. It has volume but isn't the heavy type, and the flavors are gentle overall. Lightly seasoned, aimed at quite elderly folks. The koume plums provided on the table, probably homemade, pack a punch. There's no coin parking in front of Shin-Koganei Station, so if you come by car you walk from a coin parking lot a little farther away. Delivery is OK from a single serving, OK Google.
