A pretty tiny art museum but good for a look. Beautiful surroundings and not far from Musashino and Nogawa parks. Bit far from any local train stations.

■ When Saturday, November 8, 2025 Visited at 12:00 ■ Crowds ・Number of people: 3 ・Density: quiet ・Comfort: you can take your time viewing each piece one by one ■ Viewing time About 15 minutes ■ Price 400 yen ■ Personal highlights / painter An art museum set in a spot overgrown with lush trees and plants. The entrance feels like a facility run by a city or ward. When you open the door at the back, there are lots of works by Kenichi Nakamura. He was a painter active before and after the war. The portraits, especially the paintings of his wife, were striking. Since they were painted outdoors, the way he depicts the light on the clothing and the shadows on the faces is interesting, and he painted so the brushstrokes remain visible, which makes them powerful. That said, personally they weren't really works I liked. ● Painter ・Kenichi Nakamura ■ Overall They were the kind of paintings you'd see hanging in your grandparents' house. So they feel somehow nostalgic, but they're not very fresh.

There's a rumor that a scary ghost appears at the municipal art museum along the Hake-no-michi path, and on the holiday, very cute ghosts that children made from scrap materials were on display. It's a small museum, but it puts on exhibitions of all kinds of artworks, and the café, set in rich natural surroundings, is a great place to refresh. (R,S)
