Visited March '25. A bakery in Koganei City (in front of Shin-Koganei Station). A new, renovated shop with a clean interior; there's also a drink menu and you can eat in. By far the most stylish place in this area. When I visited, the sandwich-type items weren't out yet and there weren't that many items. Besides bagels, my impression was that there were a lot of simple-looking breads. I bought a crescent and bagels (plain, everything). The crescent was delicious, including the buttery feel, the accent of salt, and the texture. The bagels were also delicious. Compared to the simple plain one, it had been a while since I'd had an everything bagel, but the garlic really came through, it had a solid flavor and was kind of addictive. It was good including the atmosphere, but I also got the impression that prices are a bit high for this area. Personally it didn't bother me, but it would be great if a shop like this could really take root here.
View on GoogleA new bakery that opened around December 4 in front of Shin-Koganei Station, with tasty-looking bagels and more lined up. It seems they open from 11:00, and there was a line. They also sell drinks, and there was an eat-in space with 4 seats.
View on GoogleActually a bakery that's great at hard breads. The one flaw is that sometimes they don't ask whether you need a bag. There aren't many hard breads right at opening, so around 12 might be better. I want to eat them for breakfast, so I wish they opened a little earlier~
View on GoogleOnce you eat the bread here, it's so rich in flavor that other breads feel hollow. The dough is very substantial and I think the fillings are carefully selected too. It was even more delicious when lightly toasted.
View on GoogleI visited because I heard a new bakery had opened in Shin-Koganei. I think there used to be a café(?) at this spot. I bought 4 breads! All the breads are on the small side, so you can munch through them easily. My favorite was the an butter! The staff were kind too, it was really nice. I wish their business hours were a bit longer. Next time I want to eat in!! For payment, it seems you can use credit cards, iD, etc. besides cash (I'd be happy if various QR payments became available too)
