It was busy at 7.30 on a Sunday evening. 85% of the tables were filled. I ordered Tempra Udon and Gyoza at around 900 yen. They offered a free extra Udon in the limited period, which I took. The food was delicious, but the service was slow. Two people worked in the kitchen and one person served food in the dining area, which weren't enough for the number of customers.

I Like their service. I recommed Yamada Udon to everyone because of it's special food service and It was rare to find in Tokyo downtown. Most of it's store found in rural part of Japan. So that's for me it was special. Plus, they give you a coupon so you can have some free meal when you get back :)

I visited Yamada Udon Shokudo's Kodaira Nakamachi branch at lunchtime on a weekday. I ordered tanuki udon and a mini kakiage rice bowl, but both were more substantial than I expected and really filled me up. The udon had a simple, comforting flavor and paired perfectly with the crispy kakiage. The restaurant was bustling with customers who looked like tradespeople, giving the impression of a place firmly rooted in the neighborhood. The casual atmosphere, where you can grab a quick meal without any fuss, felt comfortable and is perfect for a lunch focused on value. I'd like to stop by again when I'm nearby.
