Went in right after it opened a little past 11, and I was the only customer until I left. It's a yakiniku place but has plenty of set meals; not just for lunch — about 4/1 of the regular menu is set meals. And lunch is almost all Chinese food; it's probably run by a married couple — when the two of them talked to each other it was in Chinese, and when serving me it was in beautiful Japanese. That's when it hit me: yakiniku is Korean, right? So maybe that's why lunch is mostly Chinese. The prices are dirt cheap for these days, the taste is so-so, and they gave me candy at checkout. The rice was crumbly and fell apart, so I kind of ended up spilling it.
View on GoogleI usually just walk past, but since it was early and I was a bit peckish, I went in for the first time. When I entered, I was shown to a two-seater facing a wall right in front of me. Ever since they were doing the interior renovations, I'd been thinking from the outside, “Why fixed seating in such a narrow space?” — anyway, it's really cramped. I didn't feel like going as far as yakiniku, so I tried ordering the black vinegar sweet and sour pork set meal. As for the bottled beer, the menu says Malt's, but it's Suntory Nama Beer. The taste isn't bad, but it's not especially great either; including the seating, I'd say it's about what you pay for. The beef bone soup(?) had absolutely no flavor, and even adding salt didn't make it taste good, so I left it. If you ask me whether I'd go again… well.
View on GoogleLunchtime on a public holiday, every other restaurant was full, so I came here. The lunch set meal is 699 yen including tax, a reasonable price. First of all, the water tastes bad. The white rice is probably stockpiled rice too🥲 the kind that doesn't make you want to keep eating. The soup that comes with the set meal smelled of oil like an old candle, so I stopped after one sip. As for the sweet and sour pork itself, the meat was in big pieces, and I liked how the ingredients were boldly just pork and onion. The black vinegar sauce? was pitch black and looked like tar, but it tasted normally good. The female floor staff member was frank and kind, with a typical Chinese vibe.
View on GoogleI've been here several times. You can eat cheap, tasty yakiniku. I also like the friendly vibe of the staff. The lunch menu has various options besides yakiniku too, very cheap and filling — I was totally satisfied. I want to go again
View on GoogleA yakiniku restaurant near Kodaira Station on the Seibu Line. Each table has a grill fitted with a smoke extractor. Besides yakiniku there are also set meals; the beef harami ginger teppanyaki comes on an iron plate with plenty of cabbage, which gives it volume. The meat was pretty tasty.
