Lots of seats make this a good place if you want to have Ramen with the family. The taste is nothing to write home about though, and it's a bit pricey as well. All in all it's ok, but if you're looking for good Ramen, better head southwest towards the famous Ramen street leading up to Tokyo Gakugei University.
View on GoogleLove this place. You can either go with ramen plus A set or B set. Or just the ramen... Personally, I love their Chahan(fried rice).

View on GoogleMy first visit, around 13:00 on a weekday. I was craving tantanmen, so I chose the warm soupless noodles. I usually add vinegar toward the end to change up the flavor, but this one is quite tangy from the start. Be careful if you don't like sour flavors. The flavor is very strong, so it makes sense that rice is included. My companion had the shoyu tonkotsu and said it was delicious. Water, zha cai, red pickled ginger, and other toppings are self-service, as much as you like. The spacious, relaxed interior, large parking lot, and continuous opening hours until nighttime are helpful. Thanks for the meal.
View on GoogleI ate at an affiliated shop near Takao years ago, and visited the Kodaira location after several years. I'm not sure it's a fair comparison, but it seemed lighter and less intense than Machida Shoten. Being a chain, the ramen is well balanced. But I thought the marinated egg was too strongly flavored. It's certainly not that it tasted bad, but I think they could use a slightly lighter marinade.
