One of the best abura soba in Tokyo
View on GoogleHeading to Mutahiro Hanakoganei, which is closing this month! ~Kids ramen free for children under elementary school age~ ~Azaleas at the nearby Hanakoganei Minamicho 2-chome intersection are in full bloom~ I visited for the first time. I went at 11:40, 10 minutes after opening, but it was unexpectedly full. No wonder, the 3 seats in the front were out of order. There were effectively only 8 seats. I had no choice but to come back at 1:30 PM. ==== The ticket machine wasn't working, so I ordered verbally. I ordered the Shio Tori Soba for 800 yen! I learned for the first time during this visit that it says 'Kids ramen free for children under elementary school age'!!! No wonder there were families with kids earlier. === The kitchen had two staff members, a man and a woman. Do they really need two?! When the Shio Tori Soba arrived, my excitement dropped a bit. No green! Is there no green onion? The colors are a bit dull. Toppings were one slice each of char siu and chicken ham. Menma and nori. The char siu had too much fat and wasn't good. The chicken ham lacked juiciness. Too plain. The soup was good, but it wasn't the flat noodles I like. There is lemon vinegar on the table, and it's recommended to add it to the soup to change the flavor. Even if they weren't closing, I don't think I'd be a repeat customer... ==== I thought during my first visit that the Mutahiro Kokubunji branch is better. However, I would dare to recommend 'Kushiage Mutahiro Branch 4' also in Kokubunji. The ramen sashimi & ramen kushiage (char siu, seasoned menma, whole seasoned egg kushiage) & fried noodles are innovative, and the impact and fun are stronger. If you have a chance, please visit Kushiage Mutahiro. It's a kushiage shop packed with interesting charm while still leveraging the strengths of Chinese noodles. === Information as of April 20, 2024. The azaleas at the 'Hanakoganei Minamicho 2-chome' intersection (in front of Peacock) near Mutahiro Hanakoganei are in full bloom. A must-see! 😆🥰
View on GoogleRamen shop. No car parking. No bicycle parking. You can barely park in front of the shop, so for those on bicycles, cross the nearby railroad crossing and use the 2-hour free bicycle parking next to Inageya. Inside, there is an L-shaped counter with about 15 seats. Ramen options include shio, shoyu, etc. The noodles are flat. There are two types of char siu. Each has a different deliciousness. The long menma is interesting. The nori dissolves easily in the mouth, and when eaten with the noodles, the scent of the sea spreads. Toppings include egg, nori, menma, wonton skin, char siu, etc., cash payment. If you come in a pair, I recommend ordering different flavors and enjoying the other one with a 120-yen kaedama (noodle refill).
View on GoogleFirst of all, 'delicious.' A clean yet solid Chinese soba. As mentioned in other reviews, the ticket machine is broken, so it serves as a menu, but since it's posted in front of the seats, it's not too late to order after sitting in the seat designated by the staff. As the sign says, bicycle parking in front of the store is strictly prohibited! Or rather, there is no space to park. The main dish is shoyu and the alternative is shio. Regular Chinese noodles are 800 yen and the special is 1,000 yen; the staff seems to recommend the special. Are there also tsukemen and mazesoba, and maybe limited items? I don't know if the 'Black' available that day was one of them. I chose the normal chicken shoyu. I was convinced it was the right choice from the first sip of the soup. The noodles seem to be flat and there are two types of char siu. My personal impression is that the deliciousness of the soup elevates the noodles and char siu. The noodles are a small portion, so I naturally ordered a refill, and I was impressed that it came with minced chicken, which fits the shop's name. I realized during the refill that what was floating in the soup was also minced chicken. The clean chicken oil (?) coats the soup so I could enjoy it piping hot until the last drop, and I was satisfied. Don't forget to return the bowls, etc., to the counter yourself after eating (there was someone who got scolded for not doing it (I thought that was necessary (a slight deduction in points))). But I rode my bike home thinking I wanted to come back, enjoying the lingering scent of the soup while riding along the cycling road.
View on GoogleActually, I intended to go eat ramen with dried sardine broth ㊙️🤐, but since there wasn't one nearby, I took a gamble and it was delicious 😋 I ordered the special chicken shoyu ramen. The umami of the dark soy sauce was effective and the soup was a bit thick, but it went well with the flat-style noodles and was delicious. There were two slices each of chicken and pork char siu. Among the chicken char siu I've eaten so far, this is excellent!
