Udon was good. Nothing special about the soup base, just a common Japanese udon which you can actually cook at home... price is reasonably cheap. Good for lunch.

The last day of GW. The restaurant we wanted was closed through today, so we spontaneously went on an udon trip around Tokyo and happened upon 【Teuchi Udon Heisaku】 in Hanakoganei, Kodaira, while heading down Ome Kaido😊 Luckily there was a parking space, and we were seated without waiting—what a relief😮‍💨 My spouse and I ordered “Tenmori udon,” and the photo shows the enlarged portion😋 While waiting for the udon, we snacked on small dishes of “Aonegi tamagoyaki (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays only)” and “simmered burdock root,” which were so delicious they almost made me crave alcohol🤤 Just as I was resisting, the udon arrived😊 Beautiful, glossy mori udon came with freshly fried tempura (2 substantial shrimp, kisu, shiitake, asparagus, and comfortingly sweet sweet potato), a slightly luxurious dish😋 Rather than stiff, coarse Musashino udon, these noodles went down smoothly, so even the enlarged portion disappeared easily‼︎ I felt I could eat another plate, but it was getting busy, so we paid😊 Apparently the nabeyaki udon is popular, so I'd like to find time to visit again☺️

Visited for lunch. I imagined Musashino udon as hard and coarse, but this one was soft, supple, and delicious. The broth was fairly light. However, the tempura was too ordinary. The hot udon looked delicious too, so I'll try that next time. Adios👍
