An 8-minute walk from 花小金井 Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. It's a little away from the station, in a residential area, but it's along 小川山田無線, a road heading toward 田無, and stands out because there aren't many other shops nearby. It's been operating for a long time. An acquaintance who has lived nearby for years told me that it used to focus on delivery, with orders going out constantly. These days, it's mainly run by two people: the second-generation proprietress and her daughter, who is the founder's granddaughter. The granddaughter is energetic and full of ideas, sharing various initiatives through social media to build up dine-in business rather than delivery. The ramen is basically neighborhood Chinese-shop style, but they keep introducing reasonably priced dishes, including rice bowls, that make you think, “I'd love a menu item like that.” It's now so popular that queues form on weekends. The second-generation proprietress does most of the cooking, and her stir-frying and balance of salt in the seasoning are exquisite. The signature ニラもやし麺 is truly delicious. They do use artificial flavor enhancers, but the oil and ingredients are different from chain restaurants, setting them apart. 倍倍ニラもやし麺, 2 portions of noodles @1000 Some dishes have names so literal they make you laugh. The menu grows day by day, and I'm looking forward to what comes next.
View on GoogleTo get straight to the verdict, it's absolutely delicious🥰 I had the 背脂ニラもやし麺 My wife had the regular ニラモヤシ麺 It's so delicious that I'd like to come every week as long as I'm working remotely👍 I'm choosing to think positively: thanks to coronavirus, I came across noodles this delicious Perhaps it's run by a parent and child; the service was excellent too, and we enjoyed our delicious meal in comfort🍜 It's such a comfortable shop🥰 【Addition】 My wife ordered the 旨辛ニラもやし麺, but she's not very fond of garlic and spicy miso, so the garlic and spicy miso toppings were transferred to the オヤジのこっさり麵👍 It was incredibly delicious🤗 Consistently delicious‼️ The granddaughter's kind, attentive, pleasant service‼️ My wife and I are completely satisfied every time🥰 Thank you👍 They're closing indefinitely starting next week on 6月28日 (Tuesday), so my wife and I went for one last visit😭 Such a shame〜 The こっさり麺 was delicious as always😭 The gyoza was delicious too〜 At the end, the daughter said, “Thank you for always supporting us😊” and gave me a promotional LED light We're the ones who should thank you‼️ Thank you for always sharing your smiles and energy👍 My wife and I said, we'll miss this place—it was delicious right to the end〜 It was a day filled with quite a sense of sadness
View on Google2022/6/11 return visit Arrived on Saturday at 12:40. The shop was full, with 1 person waiting outside and 4 people in a car, so I wrote down my name and waited. Even if you're waiting inside your car in the parking lot, they come out to call you properly. After waiting nearly an hour, I was shown inside and got a seat at the end of the counter. Phew. I ordered exactly the same as last time: 醤油にらもやし麺+味玉+餃子. The waitress recommended the Saturday-only 味噌にらもやし麺 too. She was busy but attentive, and made the same good impression as always♪ The gyoza arrived in just under 10 minutes, followed by the にらもやし麺. Oh, that lovely appearance and the fragrant smell of stir-fried chives and bean sprouts got my heart racing again. The soup was piping hot too, so I sipped carefully. Ah, delicious as always! Pushing through the hot chives and bean sprouts and slurping them with the noodles made it even better. Why hadn't I eaten this before? I kept eating while savoring the gyoza, ramen, and soup, and by the end I was drenched in sweat and completely stuffed. Another delicious meal this time〜 Next time I'll go for the 味噌にらもやし麺! Thank you for the meal〜♪ +++++++++++++++++++ 2022/5/28 first visit Arrived on Saturday before 13:00. There were 2 people waiting outside, and when I was about to join the queue, they asked whether I was okay with no chashu for −100円, since they'd run out. Having come all this way, I waited. 15-20 minutes later, I was shown inside and looked at the menu, but I'd already decided on にらもやし麺! The rice dishes were sold out, so I ordered gyoza and an egg topping. Two women were handling the kitchen and floor. Despite being very busy, the woman on the floor took my order with a hardworking, attentive manner. Preparation took a while too, about 15 minutes, before the にらもやし麺 arrived! At that point they said the chashu had been ready in time〜. The gyoza arrived almost simultaneously too, nice! The chives and bean sprouts on top were fragrantly stir-fried, and there were 3 slices of chashu so thick I wondered if they'd given me extra?! The overall portion was impressive too! All this for 600円, amazing‼️ I started with the soup, which was soy sauce-based and fairly light, but with the stir-fried chives and bean sprouts on top it was just right and delicious〜. The chashu was wonderfully tender and falling apart! It was good enough that another shop could charge extra and serve it as chashu ramen. The gyoza was on the softer side, with a good balance of meat and vegetables. The gyoza sauce was the same as what I have at home lol Following my own dining etiquette, I finished the soup right to the end too〜♪ There are still partitions left from infection-prevention measures, which feels reassuring, and above all, the careful work is great. I've found a good shop〜 At the end, because the food had been delayed, they gave me a voucher for a free seasoned egg next time. I'll be back. Thank you for the meal〜♪
View on GoogleThis was my first visit. I was thinking of eating near the station, but the exterior caught my attention. When I approached the shop, there were photos of delicious-looking dishes posted outside, so I went in. I chose 醤油背脂ニラもやし¥650. This seems to be a menu item available only on certain days😃 Looking at the menu, ramen was ¥500. Cheap😳 There was a limited mini rice bowl too, so I ordered that as well: ミニ麻婆丼¥300♪ The ramen was really piping hot, packed with vegetables, and delicious. When I ate the rice bowl, despite being mini, it was crammed full of rice. The ミニ麻婆丼 was pretty spicy😅 I thought it was quite good value. It was delicious😁
View on GoogleI'm not local at all; I just happened to pass by and went in. It's probably not the kind of shop I'd normally enter. Other people's posts mention an elderly couple, but perhaps this day was different, because both the kitchen and floor were staffed only by women. Could the management have changed? I don't know the shop's circumstances, but the prices are very reasonable overall. These days, some ramen costs as much as 1000円, but here ramen is 500円, 味玉ラーメン is 600円, and even yakisoba for snacking is only 350円. I had the 味玉ラーメン, and there were 4 egg halves. In other words, 2 whole eggs for a difference of only 100円. And the seasoned eggs were properly soft-boiled. The chashu wasn't broad, but it was thickly sliced, at least 5mm, making it satisfying to eat. It was also so tender it almost fell apart. The ramen itself was carefully made, with a gentle flavor. Touches such as alcohol disinfection and individually packaged disposable chopsticks show a feminine attention to hygiene throughout, unusual for a ramen shop. From the front, it looks like an ordinary neighborhood Chinese restaurant without any distinguishing features, but somehow it feels as comfortable as a stylish cafe—perhaps that's a uniquely feminine touch. If you go looking for something rich like Jiro-style ramen, you may find it lacking, but isn't this a very good shop when you want old-fashioned ramen?
