A Chinese-style set-meal eatery super close to the station. There are 7 counter seats + 2 two-person tables. Its exterior might make you hesitate to go in, but one look at the kitchen makes it obvious that, although old, the place is kept extremely clean. I ordered the yakiniku set meal (750円), their bargain menu item that stays the same every day, and a beer (a large bottle of Super Dry, 600円). While waiting, there are rather serious manga and weekly magazines to read. No TV; the background music is AM radio. The set meal comes with hijiki and takuan, plus 1/3 of a small banana for dessert. These little touches of old-fashioned service are nice. Honestly, the taste is extremely ordinary. Next time I'd like to try the Chinese dishes.

For better or worse, you get what you pay for. The owner was kind, and the service was good! Is there no longer anywhere in Japan to get a delicious, satisfying lunch for under 1000円?

Right in front of Ome-kaido Station on the Seibu Tamako Line A legendary neighborhood eatery said to have been founded around Showa 35. The owner, the “young guy,” is an older fellow rather than someone with a Yosuke Eguchi vibe. I suppose he really was a young guy 50 years ago. The menu is that of a casual eatery leaning toward neighborhood Chinese food. Prices are fair: ramen is 490円, tamagodon 700円, and oyakodon 800円, yet for some reason gyudon is 560円. The disposable chopsticks are unusually thin. Yakiniku set meal 690円 Today's special yakiniku set meal is sweet-savory stir-fried pork, like shogayaki without the ginger. It's generously portioned and good value. I don't think any restaurant that includes fruit or Yakult with its set meals can be a bad one. The noren curtain had been replaced. The old, tattered one had more character and was nicer, but it took quite a bit of courage to enter.

My first visit to this delicious place where, ever since way back, my grandma would share her takeaway katayakisoba, chahan, and katsudon with me!! From the outside, it looks unmistakably like a legendary neighborhood Chinese restaurant that's really a set-meal eatery There was quite a variety of dishes too Ramen and chahan 920円 Yep, still delicious as ever!! Especially the chahan—that classic moist neighborhood-Chinese-style chahan!! The pepper and Chinese stock (chicken) are nicely balanced, and I use it as my benchmark for neighborhood Chinese food! The katsudon is just sweet enough, and the crispy yakisoba absorbs the flavors nicely by the time you get it home. Here, it came wrapped in plastic on a tray like the ones used for meat at supermarkets rather than in a takeaway box, so it retained a little warmth, and I loved it. What concerned me was that the owner seemed low on energy, perhaps tired His cooking has given me energy and meals that remain precious memories, so I want him to stay healthy and lively forever! I imagine it's hard with prices rising and his age too, but please stay well and keep serving us delicious food!! I'll visit again! Thank you for the meal!!!!

A place to eat right in front of the station that has just about everything except Japanese soba and udon‼️ For rice meals, the stir-fried meat and vegetables and yakiniku set meal are reasonably priced and recommended‼️ The meat-and-vegetable ramen is pretty tasty too😋‼️ Plenty of other reasonably priced dishes that look quite tasty😋‼️ The shio ramen tastes better than the shoyu ramen😋
