A small shop with 5 counter seats. And yet when you enter, there's no "welcome" and no guidance to a seat or where to wait. When another customer said "thank you for the meal" and left, the excuse was "I didn't notice." In such a small shop. Also, the shop is hot. I don't know if they think one household air conditioner will cool it down, but please think it through a bit more. If you're setting a fairly high price of 1200 yen for chuka soba, I'd like you to rethink the environment and the service. As for the ramen, it's not that any particular flavor stands out, but it felt a bit like nam pla. The bamboo shoot sitting in the center is soft at the tip but hard from the middle down. They said they'll do shio soon too, but I thought, shouldn't they sort out the environment first?
View on GoogleThe MSG-free soup was really delicious, good down to the last drop. Once you're past 40 it's hard to finish ramen soup, but this has become one of the few places where I can drink it all. The chashu in the ramen has visible fat, but it doesn't feel very greasy and goes down easily. I also added the 200-yen chashu, and that was amazingly delicious too. The downside is that the air conditioning isn't very effective, and the friend I came with seemed to be struggling. So service and atmosphere get 4 stars. I really liked the staff's friendly manner. It's close by, so I think I'll drop in often once the temperature starts to drop.
View on GoogleThe carefully chosen ingredients are put to great use, and it was really delicious One sip of the soup and I was sure: oh, this is one I can drink to the last drop The thin straight noodles from Mikawa Seimen have a wheat flavor that matches the soup well I personally love himetake, so that was a treat, and the shottsuru spray they recommended for changing the flavor made me grin—"I see, so that's how they do it!" There were reviews saying there's not much soup, but by the time I finished the ramen, the amount left was just right It's a one-person operation so they're absorbed in cooking, but when I asked questions they told me all about their commitments and ideas, which was fun
View on GoogleMSG-free ramen that goes well with thin straight noodles. The staff are pleasant and the ramen is really delicious. Since it's ramen made with carefully chosen ingredients and a lot of time and effort, the price is a bit high, with two options: 1200 yen and 1700 yen. Even so, it's worth trying. The shop is small and fills up with 4–5 people, but it's a shame it isn't well known because of its poor location. Exit Akitsu Station South Exit, go left and walk along the tracks, don't cross the railroad crossing, and climb the short slope on the right—it's there.
View on GoogleA shop near the railroad crossing, heading the opposite way from the main street(?) that goes from Akitsu Station to Shin-Akitsu. There were only 5 counter seats, but the interior was spacious and there was a waiting sofa too. I had the special chuka soba, the recommended chashu, and a mushroom topping. The recommended chashu came out first—such volume that I wondered, is this really only 200 yen? Thick-cut yet tender, with maximum "I'm eating meat!" satisfaction. The pepper wasn't too strong, so it goes great with the ramen of course, and it seems like it would go with drinks too. The soup, as noted, is indeed lightly seasoned but refined, with the umami of the chicken stock coming through well, leaving my tongue satisfied. There was a soy sauce spray on the table, but I didn't use it. And the mushroom topping surprised me the most. I'd never tried ramen with mushrooms before, but they go incredibly well together! The special version also comes with wontons, chashu, and a seasoned egg, all delicious, but the mushrooms might have been my favorite topping. I currently have trouble walking and use a cane, but both staff members looked out for me and were kind in many ways. The ramen's flavor, of course, and the staff's service were both wonderful. Thank you for the meal, I'll be back!
