I am exploring ramen places alone in Kiyose. I went in at 19:00 on a weekday. There were no customers. It is an old shop run by a mother and her son, just the two of them. The mother came to take my order. She brought water too. It feels like old-fashioned soy sauce ramen. 650円 is far too cheap. The broth feels like strongly flavored Tokyo ramen. The broth does not cling to the noodles. If you do not drink the broth immediately after slurping the noodles, you get no flavor. The egg is also a flavorless boiled egg. It was somewhat what I had imagined, but disappointing. The chashu is lightly flavored too. It is tough, old-fashioned chashu. The portion is average. It is not bad, but it is disappointing that the broth does not cling to the noodles. They worked hard to make it, and I ate it gratefully.

They serve delicious, classic everyday food that seems like it should be easy to find but rarely is, for 3-digit yen prices, so I really envy the neighbors.
View on GoogleSeriously love it! It is run by a son and his mother, and the quintessential neighborhood Chinese diner atmosphere is already fantastic. I go almost every week because I want 天一's ramen, rather than just going out for ramen. I recommend firm noodles. They also deliver at the same prices.
View on GoogleThe stir-fries are delicious. Personally, the set meals are the best. The basic ramen is a little disappointing. The ramen, ピリ辛ラーメン, and so on have an old-fashioned taste, for better or worse. But once topped with stir-fried vegetables or meat, it is a completely different story. The flavors seeping out of the generous stir-fried toppings on ネギラーメン and 回鍋肉メン make the ramen delicious. On a first visit, people tend to order something simple, but at this shop the unusual ramen variations are the tasty ones. If you are nearby, give it a try.
View on GoogleOrdered chahan and gyoza. Tabelog says there is parking, but apparently there is none. The proprietress seems kind, and perhaps the man tossing the wok is her son. They chat amicably and call out to regulars too. They also seem busy with neighborhood deliveries. The chahan portion is small, and the rice is very soft with a fluffy texture. It is not sticky, but perhaps the opposite of rice with separate grains. The soup is properly delicious. The gyoza are long and narrow, 6 pieces, with a small amount of mostly vegetable filling. Unfortunately, today's 2 dishes were not to my taste, but a neighborhood Chinese diner this homey, inexpensive, and loved by locals is rare these days. I hope they keep going forever.
