I thought it was a standing soba shop, but there were actually stools. It tasted perfectly good. If I were to ask for a little more, I'd like a slightly bigger portion.

Although it's outside the station, service is as fast as a station soba shop, so it's perfect for breakfast before heading to the safety and health center or for eating while waiting for a train. The red pickled ginger tempura (kakiage) adds just the right sourness and heat, so I recommend it.

January 2024. The chicken offal soba I'd been curious about since the standing-only days was available for a limited time, so I chose it without hesitation. The soba is topped with tender, juicy chicken offal grilled with salt, pepper, and a little chili for mild heat. There was about twice as much chicken offal as the photo shows. It was piled up and hidden underneath! Strongly seasoned, but it goes well with the soba!! I'd really love them to bring it back as a regular item. Though I imagine it takes work,,, The ginger tempura soba had green onion and ginger tempura, with a perfect proportion of ginger. It was delicious. On September 30, 2023, the shop moved from midway along the stairs at 清瀬 station's north exit→to below the south exit stairs! At the north exit it was standing-only, but after the move there are seats. Personally, I find it easier to enter now. There are counter seats and about 3 tables too. A sweet-salty, soy-sauce-colored broth that would make people from Kansai recoil—this is the taste of 武蔵野! Comforting. May 2023 I use soba shops like this fairly often, but is this actually my first time eating standing up? Maybe?? I'd wanted to enter for ages, but today I gathered my courage and went through the noren. I bought and handed over a ticket for fried chikuwa 1/2, and was asked whether I wanted soba or udon. I asked which they recommended, and they said soba! So I chose soba. The interior was cleaner and more organized than I expected, making it pleasant to use. Though small. The chikuwa was large for 1/2. The noodles were soft, but the speed was helpful. The broth was delicious. Not too sweet or salty, just right. I drank it all, and even after the announcement for the train I wanted to catch, I still made it! Thank you. Next time I'll try the chicken offal I've been curious about.

The strong flavor was good. It was very hot that day. It was a good way to replenish salt.
