【Yakiniku Lunch】 ◉Restaurant ホルモン焼 肉 ともや 📍Higashitabata, Kita-ku, Tokyo I visited 「ホルモン焼 肉 ともや」, just steps from Tabata Station, for a good-value weekday lunch. There were no other customers when I arrived at １１:３０, but this popular restaurant gets plenty of visitors as lunchtime approaches. ◉Dish ★Tsubo karubi １８０ｇ １３００円 （Includes rice, oolong tea, salad, kimchi, and daily soup） Order according to the amount of meat. １４０ｇ １１００円 １８０ｇ １３００円 ２４０ｇ １７００円 ３００ｇ ２１００円 ☆Grill Uses charcoal. The smell and smoke are barely noticeable. ☆Sauces Soy sauce-based sauce and lemon. Specially selected salt (moshio), gochujang, wasabi, garlic, chili pepper. ☆Rice Large portions are free. Extra rice: regular １００円, large ２００円 ◉Impressions A compact restaurant just straight ahead from Tabata Station's north exit. It's nice that there are counter seats, so you can enjoy yakiniku alone! Lunch is served on weekdays only. The meat-focused 「charcoal-grilled meat set meals」 offer １３ choices, including 「tsubo karubi」, 「tsubo harami」, 「beef tongue」, 「wagyu」, and combinations of 「２ kinds」 or 「３ kinds」, so there's plenty to enjoy. There are also 「soups」 such as yukgaejang and gomtang, 「hot stone bowl dishes」 such as bibimbap, and cold noodles. You can choose the amount of meat for each 「charcoal-grilled meat set meal」. It's great that everything is reasonably priced! The bite-sized pieces of meat are fairly thick, but carefully scored through the sinews, making them tender and easy to eat. The meat quality is excellent for the price, with a good balance of marbling and lean meat. The meat grills up fragrantly over charcoal, with a lovely amount of fat and great flavor. The 「specially selected salt (moshio)」 is recommended, and it's good too! I enjoyed a delicious, filling yakiniku lunch with outstanding value for money. Visited because I'd been curious for a while. Overall, the prices seem reasonable, and the individual portions are decent too. Two plates of meat were quite satisfying. I had springy liver and harami grilled over charcoal, and both were excellent. The staff provided courteous service too. I'll be back🤤
