I had a fantastic meal at Tonki, a restaurant specialising in pork katsu. The pork was incredibly soft and tender — even young children would have no trouble chewing it. The simple lettuce salad was fresh, and the staff happily offered refills as soon as you finished. One of the highlights is watching the chefs at work. Their timing is precise, and it’s fascinating to see how they handle the katsu the moment it comes out of the hot oil, letting it rest before slicing it perfectly. A small tip: like many katsu restaurants, the deep‑fried aroma can cling to your clothes, so maybe avoid wearing your favourite

Everything was so good from the service to the food itself. Pork is really tender, crispiness from heaven. Hot tea good, song in the background makes it even better. Rice cooked perfectly, not too dry or too wet. Go and try yourself, you won’t regret it. Price is worth it

Pictures do not do it justice for this incredible taste. Absolutely delicious. You can’t ask for anything more! It’s perfect. Coming from someone who isn’t a fan of pork, the pork is SO tender and SO flavorful 😳🤌✨ It’s a very professional, clean, and friendly environment. I highly recommend!!! The food in this town is just TOO GOOD!!

I got here because I couldn't wait more than one hour for food at kobaya nearby😅 I was also in the mood for Tonkotsu so I tried this one. The vibe was authentic, it was a joy to see the chef at work from my counter seat, but I found the food mediocre. The crispy layer and the meat separated..is that how it was supposed to look like? Also the meat was unseasoned and I had to season the food myself... is that how it's supposed to be? It's quite expensive for what it was. 2200 yen for a pork fillet set in March 2026.

This is very authentic fried pork restaurant near Komagome station. They cook at the cleaned open kitchen and you can look the whole process until they serve. It's trustful and professional how they present. I ordered pork loin which is mainly meat without any fat. It's very tender and tasty. It's about 1800yen with miso soup and rice. It might be a nice treat once in a while. :))
