A small neighborhood sushi counter with a very traditional Tokyo feel. The setup is simple, mostly counter seating, where the chef prepares each piece directly in front of you. The sushi follows a classic Edomae approach. The knife work is clean, the fish is sliced properly, and the shari (rice) is lightly seasoned so it doesn’t overpower the neta. The rice temperature is correct and the pieces are shaped compactly, which helps the sushi hold together while still feeling light. What stands out is the balance between fish and rice. The portion of rice is slightly smaller, allowing the flavor and texture of the fish to come forward. The fish itself tastes fresh and the texture is handled well. I ordered the chirashi sushi, a bowl with a good mix of tuna, shrimp, squid, tamago, ikura, and several other fish. The seafood tasted fresh and the cuts were clean. The sushi rice was lightly seasoned and well balanced Simple, classic, and technically well executed Overall, it’s a very honest, technically sound neighborhood sushi shopnot flashy, but focused on proper fundamentals and clean flavors. No idea about the other comment stating they hate foreigners. We had the exact opposite experience. These were the best sushis we've ever eaten, at an unbeatable price. The staff was great, some locals were also at the place and were extremely friendly with us. Our best sushi experience in Japan!!

This was my first sushi ever in japan. There is just downhill from here. Please give yourself a treat with the best Sushi in Tokyo. Loved the informal atmosphere and the kindness of the chef and his wife. Sushikō will always hold a special place in my heart.

Very delicious! This was my first time eating sushi ever, and it was absolutely perfect! The atmosphere was great and the owners are very kind and welcoming. Also their miso is the best I have had during my stay to Japan.
