I was craving yakitori and found this place while searching for yakitori shops nearby, so I switched to drinking at home. They grill it right in front of you—a place that really whets your appetite. Most are 130円, a bit pricey I bought 9 skewers. 4 tare, 5 salt Of course they bagged them separately. A plastic carrier bag costs 5円. I ate them after getting home, but maybe because of the time it took to carry them back, unfortunately they got cold Still, they were tasty. You could reheat them in the oven, but they're grilled pretty well already, so be careful not to overcook them. A shop I'd like to use going forward. Are the other reviews harsh because of the local character? I was satisfied! Are the harsh reviews because of the local character?

For my post-sauna meal I went to 関口商店, a yakitori shop I happened to pass in Higashi-Jujo Ginza The rich, savory aroma filling the air and the wide lineup are really appealing!! The grilling is spot on—genuinely tasty!! But... the way the elderly boss(?) treats customers is a lot of no-gos these days😣💦 I was torn among the lineup, like the karaage, and since I'd be eating standing up and it'd be bulky, I ended up ordering only yakitori, and then 'Fine, forget it!😡' he said, tossing the karaage into the basket, and retreated to the back... Snapping at a customer is out of line in plenty of ways, but a food shop throwing food around is just not OK😅 The only one allowed to waste food is Minoru Sano from Gachinko Ramen-do😓 The one grilling the yakitori seemed to be the son, so no problem there, but someone should warn the elderly boss... This time I came alone and was in a hurry, so I deliberately let it slide, but if the boss acted like that in front of my friends or family, I'd lose it too.

My mom bought karaage and chicken bars from here and they were delicious, so my husband and I are big fans of this shop! By the way, are they father and son? Personally I love the father, who I imagine has been doing this for a long, long time! The son(?) might be the quiet type, silently grilling yakitori, but the father often serves us, and it's somehow heartwarming—it makes me want to cheer 'Keep going strong!' Several other reviewers wrote complaints(?) or grumbles(?) about the father, but for me it's the complete opposite: having that warm, hardworking father there makes me want to buy even more (^o^)

I was always a bit overwhelmed by the quirky old man's service, but it was tasty so I used them all the time. However, at some point the salad chicken had an off smell twice; I thought something was wrong and tried to contact them the second time, but no matter how many times I called, nobody picked up... Other reviews also had some slightly worrying posts, so I haven't bought from them since. If things improve, I'd like to go buy again.

I love Sekiguchi-san's yakitori! The yakitori at cheap places these days has sticky tare that's just cloyingly sweet with no umami and chicken that seems processed—really not tasty—but Sekiguchi-san is a proper poultry shop, and it's always been delicious! I think they run it with pride as a poultry shop. The father, who no longer works the grill, is a kind person too! I love him! Of course the son is a kind, good person as well; I often go near closing time on Sundays, but he always grills for me cheerfully without ever making a face. You now have to order in units of 2 skewers with a minimum of 5, but I think that's only natural given they sell such proper, delicious yakitori at this price in this day and age. The tsukune is better than at any yakitori shop and my absolute favorite, but everything else is delicious too. Liver, gizzard, heart, kashira, garlic... it's all so good I end up buying a lot♪ Personally I also recommend the chicken bo—it goes amazingly with beer♪♪ Please give it a try♪ By the way, they don't charge for bags! Please don't post careless reviews. I know it's tough, but keep up the good work! Thank you always for the delicious yakitori! I'll keep coming back.
