After something I had to take care of, I felt like having pizza for some reason. I looked for the best place near my home, but I was too tired to search thoroughly, so I went with an easy and trusted option. I knew this place served very good pizza, so I decided to stop by When I arrived, most of the tables were already occupied. I asked the staff if any tables were available, and they kindly told me that the window seats were open. I hadn’t noticed them, but I took one and felt relieved to be able to sit down After being seated, I ordered a Heartland beer, which arrived quickly. While enjoying it, I ordered onion rings and fries. The onion rings came first. They were nicely crispy and went well with ketchup. The fries followed soon after. They were seasoned with consommé powder, which made them even more appetizing and satisfying While I was enjoying them, a staff member came over and kindly let me know that the pizza might run out soon. They said there were five slices left, though more orders could still come in. I really appreciated the heads-up, so I ordered a classic New York cheese pizza The slice arrived a little later. It reminded me of the one I had tried in Manhattan for one dollar. Since it had come straight from the kitchen, the cheese was still wonderfully stretchy. The cheese and sauce made a great combination and paired nicely with the crust. It was delicious as always Although I had achieved my goal of eating pizza, I still had room for more, so I ordered mozzarella cheese sticks and red hot wings The cheese sticks arrived first, served with tomato sauce for dipping. The cheese was gooey and mild, while the sauce was rich and full of tomato flavor. They paired very well together and were delicious. Then the wings arrived. They looked spicy, sprinkled with hot pepper. When I took a bite, I realized I had underestimated the heat—they were seriously spicy, but the sauce balanced it out nicely and made them very enjoyable. I really liked the combination When I paid at the cashier, I was pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive the meal was for everything I had ordered, which made me happy The food was delicious and the staff were very kind. I’d like to try more pizza slices next time, so I’ll definitely come back earlier
View on GoogleI’ve eaten in the shop once many years back and it was quite good. But if you order via Uber, I think it’s a bit of a gamble. My recent order tasted like it was pizza from the previous day that had been reheated. Crust was tasteless and a little rubbery, and cheese also had no flavor and was hard on the sides. I got 3 slices—cheese, pepperoni, and Italian sausage. All were discounted on Uber and I’m starting to wonder if the lack of freshness is the reason for the lower prices. Also, they most certainly are not NY size. So many other good places to order from, I really regret choosing here. Sadly, I threw one of the slices in the trash. I hate wasting food but it wasn’t worth the pain to my jaw. EDIT: After seeing other reviews and learning of the original owner’s passing (my condolences), I’m guessing this isn’t just a bit of bad luck and maybe it would be the same experience eating at the shop these days. What a shame.
View on GoogleThis pizza is so insanely good! Right when you walk in you are instantly transported to a pizza shop in NY. Good vibes, good music, GREAT food. Very fairly priced and I love that they serve by the slice. I was able to try 3 different pizzas and they were all amazing. 10/10!!
View on GooglePretty good NYC pizza place. I ended up getting a slice of pepperoni and some onion rings. The slice was pretty big, right balance of cheese and sauce with crust not too crunchy, not too soft either. Atmosphere was pretty good too. Overall a pretty solid pizza place, but it being in the middle of Tokyo makes it a godsend for people either wanting a taste of NYC pizza or Homesick Foreigners such as myself.
View on GoogleThe food was truly amazing! The Italian sausage slice and mixed pizza slice were so flavorful! I wasn't quite getting a true NY slice feeling as the crust was puffier and the bottom crispy as if it had been reheated in a frying pan the next day kinda vibe. It was delicious, but it didn't have the droopy thin crust as I am accustomed to. Definitely a pan pizza taste. Also, the cheese distribution on the mixed pizza wasn't evenly distributed. The Italian calzone was excellent with its ricotta cheese. Soooo good! The garlic cheese knots were fabulous with its garlic butter! Wow! Last, the cookies and cream NY cheesecake were so rich and creamy. Overall, the food was superb and excellently flavored. I felt as if I had been transported back to New York. Definitely coming back to try other pizzas and options!
