I was looking for a place for dinner around Oji Station, but everywhere I checked was full. While wandering around, I suddenly remembered this Mexican place I had tried before. I assumed it would be packed as well, but I was lucky to spot a few available seats from outside. When I walked in, the staff welcomed me cheerfully After being seated, I ordered a beer—of course, a Corona—and started looking through the menu. The drink arrived quickly with a piece of lime set at the mouth of the bottle. I squeezed it to let the juice run into the beer. It was refreshing as always When the staff came to take my order, I realized I had completely forgotten about the food while enjoying the beer. I started with a mini salad and a Rocco’s taco. The salad arrived quickly. The vegetables were fresh, and the mayo worked very well with them. Some coriander was sprinkled on top, adding an extra layer of freshness The taco was served a few minutes later. A tortilla was laid flat on the plate with minced meat and vegetables on top. I picked it up from both sides and folded it into the familiar taco shape. It had a mild kick, and the coriander complemented it nicely. The sauce and meat also worked perfectly together Since the taco was on the smaller side, I wanted to try more. While enjoying another Corona, I decided to go for a beef burrito in regular size. As I waited, I noticed a steady flow of customers coming and going—the place was quite busy—but the burrito still arrived quickly It was wrapped in aluminum foil. I peeled it back and took a bite. It was packed with ingredients. The beef had a pleasant chew and paired well with the vegetables. It was very satisfying overall I fully enjoyed the dinner. They offer chicken, pork, shrimp, and fish for tacos and burritos in addition to beef, so I’d like to try some of those next time
View on GoogleOur hotel was off of Ojī station and we stumbled upon this place, I'm Californian, and I've been traveling Asia for the last 2 months. I've been missing Mexican food soooooo much. Omg, this food was AMAZING!!! The flavors were on point, perfect amount of fatty and lean meat. Like 5 authentic tasting cali-mex sauces. I've hands down had worse Mexican food in California. I've had worse Mexican food in Mexico. This would have made my top 3 restaurants if it was near home T.T. I don't care if I'm in Japan for a limited time, I will come back here. The cook / server people were so friendly, I wish I caught their names. The horchata. Omg the horchata, 12/10. Only sad thing is they give you too little! Top 3 horchatas I've ever tasted. I'm actually kind of sad this place is in Japan and not near me T.T But Japanese people deserve to know good Mexican food too! If you crave Mexican food while touring Japan, this place Hands Down hits the spot! Zero regrets (I will come back!)
View on GoogleRocco’s is the real deal. Tacos that genuinely taste like California — not a watered down version of it, the actual thing. Fresh, flavorful, with a hot sauce that has some serious personality. And the horchata. Phenomenal. Best I’ve had outside of California, no question. The service is great, the people are genuine, and the vibe just feels right. The kind of place you go out of your way for and don’t regret it for a second. If you’re missing a taste of home or just want something special — come here. You’ll get it the moment you walk in.
View on GoogleMexican food spot that got recommended 😗✌️ They got good stuff like tacos and burritos Tacos around 400-500 Burritos 🌯 1100+ for regular Beef burrito regular 1200 (Shows 1100 on price but tax isn’t included) Drinks are around 350+ Menu asks you to buy a drink if eat in Came around the weekday 2pm and it was empty Place has California flag and vine. Super loud music playing 😅 Super friendly staff that also spoke English. Got a small little thing to go, but that was expected. I’m really just trying to see what the taste is. Taste wise it’s actually tastes pretty damn good. Kind of wish I got the big one now. Wish they had option to do double meat As someone from California this was actually pretty solid. Some other reviews comparing this to chipotle are a joke this is much better
View on GoogleThis food is amazing! As someone from CA, I can confidently say this spot competes with the best places back home. All the tacos we had were delicious, especially the shrimp taco, birria taco and the Rocco’s taco. The salsas were so fresh and the entire meal was very fairly priced. Try Rocco’s if you want to know what the tacos taste like in California or if you miss the taste of home. You won’t be disappointed! 10/10!
