I'd heard there was a local food in Higashi-Jujo that I'd never heard of, so today I got off at this station solely to eat it. But unexpectedly, the place was temporarily closed……。(T . T) Well, what now? At times like this, my way is to walk around town relying only on my instincts rather than looking up the next restaurant on a search site. Walking from the north exit in a direction that somehow caught my interest, I suddenly noticed a yoshoku restaurant. I don't mind coincidences like this. Without hesitation, I opened the door. It was a small yoshoku restaurant run by a cheerful husband-and-wife team. Looking at the menu, it felt less like the usual old-fashioned 'neighborhood yoshoku' and more like a local yoshoku restaurant with a hint of slightly more authentic European cuisine. That day I ordered chicken sauté. First came a salad on a separate plate, and it was immediately good. The presentation was beautiful, and the amount of balsamic sauce and balance of acidity were exquisite. Then, before the main chicken sauté arrived, no fewer than 4 kinds of sauce were brought out. Each was delicious in its own way, but the one I personally got completely hooked on was the garlic oil sauce. I really like this. Then, finally, the chicken sauté. The doneness was just right, and the fragrant browning on the surface was wonderful. Even the accompanying vegetables were carefully and deliciously prepared, making it a highly accomplished plate. Honestly, when the restaurant I'd originally aimed for turned out to be temporarily closed, I thought, 'Maybe today's a dud.' But it's precisely these unplanned events that lead to unexpected encounters with restaurants. Searching, checking ratings, and heading straight to your intended restaurant is fine, but sometimes you can walk around town relying only on your instincts and step into a place you happen to find. This restaurant reminded me that enjoying irregularities like these is also an important part of eating your way around town. I truly found a wonderful restaurant. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely visit again. PS. I didn't photograph them, but the ebi fry and the fried scallops & salmon the foreign couple next to me were eating looked very delicious too. I'd like to go for those next time as well.

A rare place that still offers lunch for 1300円 in Tokyo these days. It's usually crowded, so reservations are essential. There are also lots of regulars, so newcomers may feel nervous at first, but don't worry—the food is the same for everyone. It's an open kitchen, or rather, they cook right in front of you, so you get a good feel for the atmosphere. You can choose salad or soup as a starter; I chose cauliflower soup, which is a hassle to make myself. There are 4 sauces for the roast pork, so you can enjoy changing up the flavor. The accompanying vegetables showed care, too. You can also choose rice or bread. Apparently, soup and other items are available for takeout.

PAN A small neighborhood Western-style restaurant with about 14 seats at tables. Roast pork 1300円 When I heard it was freshly roasted, I couldn't help choosing the roast pork. A generous portion of tender meat with flavorful fat—delicious😋 You can enjoy all 4 seasonings: garlic, herbs, white rock salt, and red rock salt✨️ Personally, garlic is the best🧄 I'd definitely love to eat it again😊

I had the 1,300円 lunch and was very satisfied with the high quality of the food! Being able to get extra rice is a really nice service. However, it seems bread refills aren't available, so it would be even better if bread were unlimited too. It's excellent value, so I'd like to visit again.
