The nice couple served great meal. The cost is way too reasonably in Tokyo.

An inexpensive, tasty Western-style (yoshoku) restaurant. The owner cooks briskly and efficiently. The buta no shogayaki (pork ginger) is nicely seasoned and makes you keep eating rice. There's lots of shredded cabbage, so it's a good place to get your veggies. The pickles on the side weren't too salty either, just pleasantly tasty. I came right at opening time and happened to find a seat. Before I knew it, a line had formed outside. By the time I finished eating, several groups were waiting. Payment is cash only.

A quintessential Showa-era yoshoku restaurant. The handmade rock ice in the water and the perfectly efficient teamwork of the two in the kitchen are a must-see. I ordered Daily Lunch A. Fried shrimp and chicken in tomato sauce for 850 yen — the crispy, plump fried shrimp was the best! The chicken was tender and the sauce was delicious! Given the price I can't complain, but the chicken was just two cute little pieces, so I wish I could've had a bit more chicken — hence 4 stars.
