One of the museums located in Asukayama Park. The building design inside was really nice. They also have a cafe inside. Lockers are available too. The picture spot inside with a boat was fun too. The museum was well kept & the displays were very interesting. The staffs here were nice too. A great place to visit when in Asukayama Park.
View on GoogleIt’s a fascinating peek into the topography & geological formation of the area around the Sumida & Arakawa. You get free English audio guides that give enough information although not as comprehensive as the Japanese. The architecture is beautiful too and there’s a restaurant on the 3rd floor
View on GoogleFrom architect point of view - building worth to visit. Good craftsmanship, plenty of pleasant details, interesting design.
View on Google- The history of Kita Ward is clearly summarized from ancient times to the present, making it intellectually stimulating and very enjoyable. It’s especially recommended for residents of Kita Ward to learn about their town’s history. - I was particularly surprised to learn that 120,000 years ago, the entire Kita Ward was under the sea. - The exhibits are mostly in Japanese, so it’s not recommended for foreign visitors. However, the adjacent Shibusawa Museum has English explanations, making it a better option for international tourists.
