A very interesting restaurant near the end of 1-ban-gai in Akabane. I have passed this place but never mustered up the courage to enter until today. I’m glad I finally visited! The food was amazing and very imaginative. I had the baked eel with pork over rice. It was amazing. The drinks were also amazing. Beer with coffee and beer with plum wine. I want to go again.

The signature 牛タンシチューパングラタン combines rich beef stew, salty cheese, fragrant bread, and even an unexpected hamburger steak! Generously portioned and completely satisfying. The appetizer potato salad with いぶりがっこ combines the saltiness of いぶりがっこ, cucumber texture, and sesame aroma. The fish-scale crackers on top (also available separately) are crispy and go well with beer! The ビーフシチューの天ぷら is sweet and rich, with a crispy coating. The にべ sashimi had solid umami, and the complimentary つむブリ was packed with umami; honestly, I preferred it to the にべ I ordered lol The 逆玉子サンド has jiggly eggs and fluffy bread, with mellow mayo inside! There's also a wide selection of drinks, including homemade fruit liquors, enjoyable for everyone from drink lovers to women. This time I ordered 食べれるみかん酒 with soda. The mandarins soaked in alcohol had a grown-up flavor! The interior has an old-fashioned atmosphere, a relaxed izakaya where regulars unwind. PS: Amazingly, the small plates and chopstick rests in the photos were made by the owner himself..!

Today I had 【牛タンシチューパングラタン】. The slowly simmered beef tongue was fall-apart tender and paired perfectly with the rich stew. You also get a juicy beef-tongue hamburger steak, making it a luxurious dish. Rich cheese melts over crisp, fragrant bread—a truly blissful plate. The bread is crisp with a slight sweetness and holds the rich stew beautifully. The owner, who has a background in French cuisine, apparently makes not just the food but the tableware himself, and his versatility amazed me. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere, surrounding you with the comfort of returning to your family home. A hidden gem in Akabane where you can enjoy a relaxing time and authentic cooking✨

Each 100g hamburger steak is hand-kneaded with a perfect balance of beef tongue and minced meat, and the texture surprised me first. The distinctive chew of beef tongue and meaty umami blend beautifully—this is exactly what deliciousness that gets you breathing excitedly means! It's seasoned with a refreshing Japanese-style Japone sauce (based on grated daikon), which pairs perfectly with the rich hamburger steak. Without feeling weighed down by fat, I polished off all 3. ^_^ The restaurant has a calm atmosphere, and another appeal is feeling comfortable entering alone. A fun restaurant with all kinds of dishes. My particular favorites are スネ夫くん and the fish-scale crackers! The sashimi is thick and satisfying too! I received a complimentary piece of tableware handmade by the owner and am already using it at home. His earnest character comes through in both the tableware and the food☺️
