Hiraku Akabane
This restaurant was selected as one of Akabane's 3 top yakitori spots. The owner chose its name with the wish that good fortune would open up and blossom for every customer and everyone involved with the restaurant. Enjoy carefully selected sake chosen by the owner, who is also a certified sake sommelier, alongside binchotan charcoal-grilled skewers. There's also a wide range of snacks perfect for sake lovers. The 【horohoro-dori】 torisashi sourced directly from Yoron Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, along with the hugely popular 【shiro reba kushi】 and 【jikasei tsukune kushi】, are among the dishes we'd like you to try at least once. The secluded space on basement floor 1 lets you relax without worrying about other people's eyes. As a sake specialty restaurant, oolong high, green tea high, chu…

If you are looking for a place with great chicken dishes and also a great selection of Japanese rice wine, this is the place for you. I ate a lot and felt very satisfied. I was able to drink many different types of rice wine in many different ways, so I was extremely satisfied. I will be going there again soon.
View on GoogleI tried going in on a weekday evening and found empty seats. They let me comfortably use enough counter space for two people. They seemed to have a selection of Iwate sake that day. Serving water along with the tokkuri was just what you'd expect from a place known for its drinks. The miso mayo with the vegetable sticks(?) served as otoshi was delicious. I was happy to enjoy the horohoro-dori tataki with both sweet Kyushu soy sauce and oroshi ponzu. The 5 omakase skewers had plenty of variety: salt, wasabi, sauce, and vegetables. The surumeika goro-yaki was tasty enough for one plate to accompany about three go of sake. Even the finishing yakitori don was delicious. All the staff were kind; perhaps this is a renowned place you can't get into on weekends without a reservation.
View on GoogleDrinks in Akabane with one of my followers. The oden place we wanted to visit had a queue, and the outdoor place with vinyl sheeting was cold, so we came here. Our timing was good, and we got in without waiting. After we entered, customers kept arriving, and it quickly filled up. It's a basement restaurant, unusually stylish for Akabane, with a spacious, calm, relaxed atmosphere. The salad sticks and sauce served as otoshi refreshed the mouth nicely. The yakitori meat was tender and salted just right. The lemon sour wasn't too sweet and was easy to drink. The staff's service was courteous too. When we ordered yakitori, they told us it would take a little time. With only 1 toilet, they were also considerate enough to let us know if someone was already using it. This was our second stop, and we planned to have ramen next to finish, so we didn't order much, but I'd like to take my time here next time. A reservation is needed.
View on GoogleA place I'd been curious about for a while. I visited with a reservation on the day before a public holiday. There are counter and table seats, and all the staff are lovely. They have plenty of sake, and the grilled skewers were very delicious. The shiro reba I'd come for was tender with no unpleasant smell. The sasami skewers were moist too, and the tsukune had a nice bite and aroma. All the other snacks went well with drinks too, making it hard to choose. I'd like to go again!
View on GoogleMy first visit. I came alone on Friday at 5, and they were open. Afterward, people with reservations kept arriving. First I ordered a bottle of Akaboshi beer. For yakitori, I chose the 5-skewer omakase. They carefully grill over binchotan charcoal, so it took a little time to arrive, but every skewer was very delicious. I ordered the next batch before the 5-skewer omakase came. Beer🍺, one highball, and about 10 skewers came to just over 4000円. I didn't think it was cheap, but the taste and the restaurant's easygoing atmosphere were very good.
