This restaurant was a highlight of our trip to japan. We enjoyed it so much we visited twice during our trip. We do not speak much Japanese but the kind lady who serves the food and drinks did a fantastic job communicating with us, giving us recommendations, and asking what we did/did not like to make sure we had the best experience possible. The gentleman behind the counter has a great personality, loves to laugh, and is truly a master at creating amazing food. Both of them are so kind and welcoming, they made our visit to Japan truly special. The fish was delicious and very fresh both times we came in. A must try for people visiting Japan and locals as well.
View on GoogleIt's a small place but the food is very delicious, customer service was 11/10. I will be back again!

View on GoogleThe previous English reviews say exactly what I'm about to say: Incredible service, atmosphere, and food. I went around opening (5:40pm~) when there were only a few people and I was rewarded with the chance to hold meaningful conversations with the staff; almost as if I was back in Canada, enjoying some small talk. This atmosphere and service alone made my meal worthwhile, and is an amazing contrast to the often-seen, busy and stressful Tokyo lifestyle. That said, the food was also great. Tasty, simple, and the presentation was unlike any I have ever seen with sushi. Regarding ordering food, while I do know conversational Japanese, my kanji abilities are minimal at best. As such, I was delighted when the staff members explained to me how the menu was oriented, and the types of fish I could expect in each order. I ended up ordering a nigiri and maki platter of 10 various pieces. Of course, it was delicious, and more than enough for me to say "you have to try sushi in Japan!" The only thing I could wish for is having found this place earlier!
View on GoogleA small traditional sushi restaurant with very kind staff and good food. They were very welcoming to us foreigners and tried their best to communicate either us and we had a fun experience even though there was a massive language barrier. Smoking is also allowed.
